KMCT College of Engineering for Women, located in Kozhikode, is the best institution for women engineering aspirants in the state of Kerala. The college provides several engineering programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The KMCT admission process is designed to look for brilliant and deserving candidates via various national and state-level entrance entitlements.
For undergraduate programs, admissions are generally through the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) Examination or through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. Most of the time these examinations are conducted in the months just preceding the commencement of admission, which is usually around August-September. This duality of KEAM and JEE Main gives a choice to aspirants coming in from Kerala as well as other parts of India.
The criteria for postgraduate admissions, in particular in M.Tech programs, mostly rely on GATE scores. Very often, the GATE score is considered as a prime criterion with respect to selection for M.Tech in the College along with maybe few others.
For B. Tech programs:
Appear for a KEAM or JEE Main exam.
Merit the required scores as per the criteria laid down by the concerned College.
Apply against the centralized admission process of Kerala Government for KEAM or any counseling process related to JEE Main.
Attend counseling sessions in case shortlisted.
If a seat is allotted, proceed towards formal admission at KMCT College.
For M.Tech Environmental Engineering:
Appear in the GATE examination in the relevant engineering discipline.
Direct application to KMCT College of Engineering for Women is open to candidates with valid GATE scores.
If necessary, the candidates shall also appear for any subsequent selection processes laid down by the College.
In case of selection, candidates shall complete the admission formalities.
B.Tech:
KMCT College of Engineering for Women offers five courses in B.Tech:
Computer Science and Engineering.
Civil Engineering.
Biomedical Engineering.
Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Information Technology.
Admission to these courses is based on a candidate's performance in either KEAM or JEE Main. The total intake for these B.Tech programs in the College is 255 seats, with individual program capacities ranging from 30 to 60 seats.
M.Tech:
The M.Tech programs offered by the College concentrate on Environmental Engineering. Admission into this course is predominantly on the basis of GATE scores. The said program has an approved intake of 18 seats. Candidates with a relevant bachelor's degree in engineering can apply.
Generally required documents for admission include:
10th and 12th standard mark sheets and certificates,
Entrance exam score cards (KEAM/JEE Main for B.Tech, GATE for M.Tech),
Transfer certificate from the last attended institution, if applicable,
Migration certificate, if applicable,
Caste/category certificate, if applicable,
Any other documents specified by the college at the time of admission.

Eligibility criteria for admission to KMCT college of Engineering for Women for B.tech course is Student must have Passed in HSE/VHSE/3-Year Diploma or equivalent with minimum of 45% for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together and 45% marks in Mathematics.
The students should have a rank in the Common Entrance Examination conducted through the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Kerala OR By the Exam Conducted by Self Financing College Management Association.
And hostel facilities are provided for students within or very close to technical campus.
