Hi !

You have scored average NEET score. But 452 marks are not enough to get a seat in private medical college , West Bengal. According to 2018s data , the minimum cutoff for private colleges was 468 for Jagnnath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital , Kolkata. And for KPC Medical College , the cutoff was 477.

So, it is difficult for you to get a seat in private medical colleges in general category. Yo can try in private dental college. There you will get a seat surely because the cutoff was 404 for Haldia Institute of Dental Sciences.

Rest it depends on each year's cutoff. It chages every year.

Hope for the best!

Hello shilpa,

Well in order to get into the college you want you need to score between 580-590 marks of you belong to general category and want to get a seat through all India quota. So I guess it would be quite a difficult task.

Well since you mentioned that your domicile is rajasthan then why dont you try via 85 percent state quota. I know that chances are less but who knows you may get a government seat in the mop up round.

Good luck

Thank you

Hey

The cut off for admission in Medical College, Kolkata under the 85% State quota was a rank of 5214 and a score of 563 marks in the previous year 2018 for the general category. The cut off for admission under the All India quota waz a rank of 2095 and a score of 592. This year the cut off is expected to be a little higher as the paper was easier. But the cut off changes each year due to several factors like difficulty level, personal choices of people ranked above you etc. If you score 590 you have a great chance under the state quota and fair chances under the All India quota.
Best of luck

Hello Shreedarshini,

KPC Medical college is a private medical college. Therefore the cutoff isn't much, you need to qualify NEET with 40th percentile (the cutoff for SC category). Previous year cutoff for the KPC was 347 marks for SC category but cutoff varies from year to year it depends on various facts like the dificulty level of exam, number of candidates, number of seats, previous year cutoff trend etc. So it will be better if you have around 400 marks in NEET 2019 to get assured seat in KPC medical college.

Hi there.
If you mean KPC Medical College, Jadhavpur then yes you have a chance. Taking into consideration your OBC category, marks and the results from the rank predictors I feel you have a good enough chance to get into KPC, Jadhavpur. You can also go for JGIMS, Kolkata and IQ City, DGP. You've got a good enough chance in all three of them and if you happen to have a 85% State Quota in West Bengal then that's even better.
Thank you and wish you all luck.

Hello student,
Yes, With a score of 583 you can get a seat in motilal colleges in Kolkata. You have not mentioned which category you belong to. Even if it is general, you can definitely get a seat when comparing the results of previous years. Last year, a score of 509 got a seat in Calcutta national medical college and hospital, 563 in Medical College, Kolkata and 533 in Nil Ratan sirkar medical college and hospital, Kolkata in general category under the state quota. But one thing to keep in mind is that scores and ranks vary each year with difficulty level of the question paper and availability of seats. However you can predict the colleges which you are likely to get using the given
