Royal College of Engineering and Technology (RCET), Thrissur, is a well-established institution that provides various engineering courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The single window of entry into the Royal College of Engineering and Technology is the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) entrance exam held by the Commissioner of Entrance Exams, Government of Kerala. The common examination ensures that the students admitted to it possess a sound grounding in core subjects necessary for engineering courses.
For UG courses, the applicants should be eligible in the KEAM exam with a minimum of 10 marks in Paper I and Paper II. Apart from this, they should rank in the KEAM Rank List for admission. The KEAM exam is normally conducted annually, with results and counseling announced shortly after that.

RCET provides B.Tech programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. B.Tech programmes are accepted as per the KEAM rank list. Total admission is 360 seats through different B.Tech streams in the college.
RCET offers M.Tech programmes in Computer Science and Engineering and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. Information on M.Tech admissions is not given, but it is the general practice that the same either has a GATE score or an entrance examination by the state/university itself.
