UPES University offers the scholarship, The eligibility varies to each programme.

If you wish to know about B.tech programme.

Merit Based Scholarship

Scholarship will be offered to students securing an aggregate of 80% marks in class X & XII & 80% marks in PCM for B.Tech (All Streams) in CBSE/ ICSE / State Examination Board. Such scholarships will be limited to 10% of seats in each B.Tech Program. Scholarships will be allotted for the first Semester in Merit order to eligible candidates.

Scholarships will be awarded based on merit only.

Continuation of Scholarship in the subsequent years will be as per the University policy Scholarship Amount

50% on Tuition fee of first Semester

Scholarship for Uttarakhand State Board Toppers:

Merit order allotment of 1 seat per program.

The seats reserved under this category will be within the 15% reservation for Uttarakhand resident students.

Should have “Sthai Niwas Praman Patra” (Permanent Residence Certificate)

Students will be entitled only for 1 scholarship at a time (either through Uttarakhand Board Toppers or through Uttarakhand Resident category)

Scholarship in subsequent years will be as per merit scholarship policy of the University

Upes law has 86% placement record last year. 210+ companies come and the 140+ students are placed . If you are a average student and maintain your SGPA 7.5 then you can grab a package of 8 Lacs, and highest package can go to 12-13 Lacs.

And if we talk about lowest it can be 2-3 lacs.

the application for for UPES is 1350 Indian Currency and 75 USD for foriegners. There are total 8 departments which offers over 142 courses for admission. Last Date  for Btech applicants is 3rd May.

As said by the officials , there is 94% success placement rate of the college. It has good ranking and affilated to many organizations like NAAC,UGC,etc.  The college crowd is also good and facilities provided is also friendly and will help you anywhere you get stuck in your studies.

Upes is a good college, but if you are looking for the best institutions then you must look forward to IISc banglore, loyala college Chennai, bits pilani and du.

Admission in IISc is on jee advanced basis.

For loyala you would be having a percentage cut off may be around 95 or so.

For bits pilani you have to appear in bitsat

For du it's again on Percentage basis ranging between 92 to 98.

For upes ,it's on Percentage basis, direct admission.

But i would advise you to look into these institutions also

Yes, UPES Dehradun is a decent college for pursuing MBA. National Institute of Research and framework has ranked it 56th amongst the top colleges in India which offer MBA/PGDM courses.
Regarding the placement scenario, 95 percent of the candidates got placed in the year 2019 for HR executive and managerial posts in various companies like ABG,  Accenture,  Royal Enfield, IBM,  etc. The salary package offered ranged between 6-48 LPA.  Besides,  the hostel facility and resources are excellent.

Symbiosis will be a better option than UPES because symbiosis has brand value and it has top level faculties with huge campus and great alumni network.
But UPES can also be considered a good option if you will consider fees in Symbiosis which is much more higher than UPES.

UPES exam is conducted with total of 200 marks.
In which physics, Chemistry and Mathematics section are of 50 marks each.And then English language and comprehension section will be of 30 marks and Current affairs will be of 20 marks.

Topics of question in Physics ,Chemistry and Mathematics will be completely from 11th and 12th syllabus.For english just need to work a little but in vocabulary and RC skills whereas in currents affairs you will asked question happening in current.
