Hi Puneet,
The UPES college is situated in Dehradun. Doing an MBA in Power Management or Energy Trading will cost you Rs. 13.34 Lakhs total fees for 2 years. The placements, according to the alumni here, are pretty good with an average placement package of 4 LPA. However, they depend mainly on your skills as companies look for productive workers.
hi,
school of petroleaum and energy studies dehradun is a state university. it was established on 2003. this university is affiliated by bCI, NAAC, UGC, AIU , there are several bachelors and as well as post graduate courses offered by the university. so msc degree from upes is approved in all private and government institutions or organizations.
Hello Sushant singh
Let me give a brutally honest review. Remember this is strictly my experience and others might have had completely different experience of the college.
1) PLACEMENTS are not upto the mark . infact ,for a college of such 'repute',they are pathetic . students from my branch (civil ) faced a hard time getting placed . only (20/60) got a job .
In supposedly branches like ape and aerospace as well ,very few core companies visited for placements.upes being a tier 3 college ,average placements -3.6–4 lpa.
2) EXPOSURE: you miss out on a lot of industrial exposure due to dehradun 's location. So if you are getting a similar college in ,say delhi ncr or pune ,Take it .
3) : FACULTY : is actually quite good here for the first year . then a lot of inexperienced teachers teach you in 2nd 3rd and 4th year . but this differs from branch to branch . some branches have excellent faculty throughout.the senior professors are very very good with great industrial as well as academic experience .
4) campus hostels have limited accomodation . internet is actually pretty ok. No dc++ or other lan stuff ,just your normal wifi . campus life will be awesome if you are and extrovert or even an ambivert ,can be quite tough on introverts (like me).the whole space is jampacked and there is no personal space . campus is small, however the infrastructure is good and is even better than some nits and iits . the village bidholi is awesome and is like a semi hill station.
World class facilities and best in class laboratories make this university a wonder of it's own and without a doubt it has best equipment for teaching as well as sports. Big classrooms and clean area with fresh air is the best part.
College infrastructure quite nice. College have all the necessary infrastructure facilities and equipments as well. We have all the necessary facilities in a classroom labs library sports centres and hostels like Wi-Fi and smart boards and yes they are well maintained as well.
Nice infra.. Great places to relax and hangout classrooms are nice... Many places to eat and drink. Many pretty cafes too. Events also take place. Nice place to take a walk in the morning or evening. Great college
