Origin of a new concept known as MENTORSHIP wherein a mentor acts as a ‘Friend, Philosopher, and Guide’, enhancing the overall skill of students apart from academics. The college has an often healthy body makes a healthy mind. To ensure students’ well-being, the Campus has a primary health care center with regular visits from a physician. The campus also has a 24-hour mobile van designed and well-equipped to attend to any medical emergencies and to provide an ambulance service if needed by the residents of the college campus.

The College Central Library has many items of academic interest, including textbooks, reference books, and scientific and technical journals (National and International), along with electronic and audio-visual resources. Students have full access to the complete range of library resources with a speedy delivery system between the departments. An E-Library facility is also available on the College Campus. All members of the college are encouraged to suggest books for purchase, and the staff is happy to help locate useful resources in print or digital formats and to provide access and assistance with the use of archives, manuscripts, and special collections. The library has an open access system, and all the shelves are properly labeled with subject citations. Reading material is to be carried by the members themselves. The help of library staff can be asked to take out out-of-reach volumes.

SIIT provides all necessary sports facilities for various indoor and outdoor games like volleyball, cricket, lawn tennis, table tennis, carom, chess, badminton, etc. In this regard, an ANNUAL SPORTS MEET is held in which various sports competitions are organized by the students and for the students under faculty vigilance.

The college has we have a wide range of IT-enabled services being made available to students, including a high-speed Internet facility for the whole campus. We are also rolling out wireless connectivity across the campus. All new students will be provided with an email account and free training for major software applications in the beginning.
