SNG Institute of Management and Research (SNGIMR) is an educational institution in Pune. The institute offers a two-year full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme with a total intake of 180 students. The admission procedure by SNGIMR generally starts between February and July, right after the result for the entrance exam is announced, for the intake that begins in August-September.

SNG Institute of Management and Research, Pune follows the selection process of the Maharashtra state government and national-level management entrance examinations. The entrance test for the major admission process is the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test, MH-CET, which is conducted by the Director of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra. However, SNGIMR also accepts scores from other prestigious management entrance exams such as CAT (Common Admission Test), CMAT (Common Management Admission Test), XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test), MAT (Management Aptitude Test), and ATMA (AIMS Test for Management Admission).

Application process for MBA at SNG Institute of Management and Research, Pune: as under-

• Entrance Exam: Appears for any one of the accepted entrance exams such as MH-CET, CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT or ATMA, which will guarantee the above minimum marks secured by you in the respective Entrance exam conducted.
• ApplicationForm: Once the entrance exam result has been announced, log onto the website of SNGIMR to download the MBA application form. Fill up all the relevant details about personal and academic data.
• DocumentSubmission: Scan all the required documents and submit them along with application form.
• Application Fee: As is demanded on the institute's website, one must pay the application fee. One can pay the application fee online using payment gates. The same involves net banking, credit/debit card, or UPI.
• Submission: The applicants must submit their application form along with all relevant documents and a photocopy of receipt of the application fee on or before the date specified by SNGIMR.
• Verification: The institute verifies the applicant and the documents submitted. All details must be accurate so that they do not disqualify from the test.
• Shortlisting: Candidates would be shortlisted on the basis of entrance exam scores and academic records to appear in further rounds of the selection process at SNGIMR.
• Shortlisting: A few selected candidates are shortlisted for further rounds, including:
  • Group Discussion (GD)
  • Personal Interview (PI)
  • Written Ability Test (WAT)
• Final Selection: All of these will be finally based on the performance in the entrance exam, the academic record, and the selection procedure by the institute, that is, GD/PI/WAT.
• Offer Letter: The institute will be able to issue an offer letter to the selected candidates. Accept the offer, complete all the formalities of admission within the given time frame, and pay all kinds of dues within that time frame.

• Orientation: The orientation programme will introduce the candidate to the institute, faculty, and the structure of the MBA program.

The MBA admission process at SNGIMR is as follows:

• They should have appeared for any one of the entrance exams accepted by SNGIMR like MH-CET, CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT or ATMA.
• Immediately after the declaration of the results of entrance exams application form for SNGIMR is available in the College.
• Eligible candidates are required to submit the application form along with the necessary documents.
• The shortlisted candidates may be called for further rounds of selection, which can include group discussions and personal interviews.
• A final list of candidates is prepared based on performance in the entrance examination, academic record, and performance in the institute's selection process.
