The College infrastructure is pretty good . Labs and Classroom conditions are very good . Each Lab and classroom is provided with two A.C's . It has good Library facilities . Other than Classrooms students are provided with study rooms for self-study which also have wifi service.
I have taken electronics and telecommunication course. The teaching quality is pretty average but there are some faculties how are really good and supportive. The curriculum gets always updated .The college provides flexibility in curriculum with elective subjects.
Placement is avarage .The majority of companies are from IT Industries . The highest package is 19.5 LPA, the average package is 4 LPA and the Lowest package is 3 LPA.The placement process is really competitive .The college provides training to clear interviews and aptitude rounds.
Value for money will depend on person-to-person.My course cost somewhere around 1,50,000. I don't feel getting my money's worth . But there are many schemes which can help to reduce fees. Government scheme for EBC students can reduce the fees till 80,000.
The campus life of college is perfect. The college conducts many activities like cultural fest, technical fest, hackathons, sports fest, etc. The location is really safe . Just next to the college, there is a police station in case some emergency comes up.
Our college has a good spacious ground and halls , so as per the infrastructure our college is good and there are adequate facilities and equipments available. Our classrooms are spacious and air-conditioned with 2 ac's in each class, same with laboratories and libraries. All the fans and Ac's work well. The sitting chairs in the labs are very uncomfortable and old fashioned which are somewhat hurtful to sit on for a lecture. While the chairs in other department are well. The living spaces are clean and well maintained regularly and the food is decent and hygienic as well .
I'm studying Electronics and Communication Engineering and I took this branch because I had no other options. The quality of teaching in our college is quite minimal and not upto the mark. Our college just focuses on syllabus based on the academics and doesn't enhance our skills more on the market demands and requirements of the industry. The teachers at our branch are well qualified and educated but still I feel there is a lack of independence of a student to pursue his desires as in a career and the faculties are somewhat rude sometimes and also too very friendly sometimes which I don't like about this. Yes the course is said to make us job ready in our domains but I would say it won't be upto the mark
Placements at our college are very unrealistic something claiming good packages but basically the placement are 3-5 lakhs p.a. on average and about only 30% of students were placed in our last batch and then had to get to the rounds again to be placed. Yeah the college is supportive but the T&P Cell is the worst department of TCET. Specially the incharges of the department as they just carry out their aptitude and quant prep during college and after college hours which is really not worth it as of my experience and later on get a low wage position in a company that they assign us. I would rather develop industry demand skills and land a better job instead of the placement cell of our college of the time I waste in their Training and placement program.
Not value for money, but decent as a job ready engineer as the college provides with good educational and professional development which leads on to a decent job, but afterall placements for our department didn't really seem good.
Its been a roller coaster of campus life at here , firstly the friends I've made here are truly amazing! And the activities and events at here are fun and engaging as well. Overall its been a good experience here
The college has all the necessary infrastructure, it has all the labs to learn the practical applications of the theory studied during the coursework. in some of the labs there is network issues but the internet issue can be solved by using the LAN cables. The canteen is average here, but the books in libraries are not that good and updated.
I am Studying about Electronics and the Telecommunication operations at TCET. The faculty here is amazing they have in depth knowledge about the subjects. The syllabus is not that updated, and the departments attendance criteria is strictly 75%
The Placements here in TCET is average. the median salary for the past 2 years has been dropped to 3.2 LPA the recession can be a reason. most of the companies that comes for hiring are the IT companies the scope for the CORE engineering branches in this college is quite less.
Actually i grabed a government scholarship so i am paying 70% less fees as compared to others so considering my scenario i am getting a high ROI . my every year spending for education in this college is around 40K.
The Campus life here in TCET is amazing there are non-technical and technical committes, clubs etc the college conducts its annual fest that is Zephyr which is a amazing event. by participating in various clubs the student ha the opportunity to explore himself/herself.
Yes college have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. We have wifi in classroom and laboratory facilities and all are well maintained. Living space is hygienic and we'll maintained
I have graduated in mechanical engineering stream in year 2020. Quality of teaching is good and as now college is autonomous so curriculum is updated and college have now started new specialization in field of data science and artificial intelligence
Placement is decent as in non core domain there is good opportunity but in core domain the opportunity is less I am not aware of current condition as I am graduated in way back 2020 so it's better if someone can tell about opportunities in core domain
college infrastructure was very good. We had radiant cooling system in whole campus. For Mechanical Engineering we had lathe machine and CNC machine and all the equipments needed for studying mechanical engineering. Good quality classroom and Labs.
Although the college is autonomous but we had too many assignments and write-ups. Some of the teachers were very knowledgeable like Pawan Tiwari Sir, Iqbal Mujawar and Neha mam. Our college has recently started the AI Course also.
Very few core companies came for Mechanical Engineering Placement , mostly the mechanical engineering students got placed in IT companies around 3.3 LPA average CTC. Our college gave the necessary Coding classes and college was very supportive.
My per year fees was around 130000 Rs. I have fees was better than other Autonomous colleges.
You would enjoy the atmosphere in this College. The infrastructure is pretty good, and ample of rooms! Air conditioned Room, Spacious Washrooms, Convenient Floor Planning. All of this summed up makes the infrastructure very good.
You'll have to study by yourself in the end. But exams are pretty easy here. its easy to score above 9 CGPI. since its Autonomous now the paper are not following the Mumbai university pattern. you'll start to realize that the subjects in first year like 'English for professional Communication' will be very useful in the future.
Okay see the placement cell isn't that supportive but companies like JPMC, Oracle do come and offer pretty good fresher packages. in the end it totally depends on you. There exists an internal organization within The placement cell that is TCET Opensource. try getting into that and it will benefit your opensource contributions which can help in your placements.
The average fees of engineering colleges in Mumbai is around 1.75L and i think its worth.
Canteen is the best thing you could ever experience here. also the iconic big stairs, Garden they are eye catching and feels like home.
Im currently pursuing Computer Engineering in this college, and i can say that there are some aspects improved in myself except academics. Like public speaking and Presentations.
Infrastructure: Facilities in department include good classrooms with projectors. There is no availability of Wi-Fi except in the reading room. Computer lab is there. Libraries are average and you will find required books there. In hostel, a room is shared by four students. No mess, canteen, or any sports and games is there. Students have to go for some tiffin services for food. No facilities are provided in the hostel except for a room.
Some teachers are good and well qualified. Teachers only teach you how to pass the exam rather than giving practical knowledge except for a few. In Electronics and Telecommunications, they train students well during practicals. Semester examinations are not tough if you have studied well. Passing percentage is usually 60-70
TCET provides decent placements to eligible students. More than 80% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 44 LPA by Amazon. The average salary package offered ranges from 3.5 LPA to 3.7 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Amazon, Byjus, etc.
one course cost upto 1.5 lakh year it is expensive but good thing is that we get scholarship such as ebc and other by this our tution fees get half due to good infrastructure structure and lab facility and I think it is worth
There are various activities students can engage in as per interest
In terms of infrastructure, TCET has a modern campus with state-of-the-art facilities, including well-equipped laboratories, a library, sports facilities, and hostels. The faculty at TCET is experienced and qualified, and the college has a strong emphasis on research and innovation. Overall, Thakur College of Engineering and Technology is a reputable institution known for its quality education and excellent infrastructure
This college is among the top five engineering schools in Mumbai, with excellent facilities and recently acquired autonomy for ten years. It is among the best engineering schools in Mumbai, and it is currently offers courses like AIML, AIDS, and IOT that are not even offered by IITs. The faculty at this college are also highly knowledgeable, with the majority of them holding the DR. status. It also has a great classroom with a large capacity of 70 to 80 students.
The syllabus in the college is purely based on Choice based grading system and the quality of teaching are outstanding. The curriculum is being updated each and every year with every possible discovery being added in it.
Placements are good and the percentage of students getting placed are increasing day by day because of the efforts of T&P cell and co-ordinators. The session conducted by T&P helps us to grow and makes us best fit for Coporate life.
The Average fees to be spent for one year ranges between 1.55-1.60 lakh , this could vary if you are a hosteller or a scholarship student.
Campus life is very much interesting and due to the presence of various committees and social bodiesstudents get the exposure of various things in thier college life.
My experience is very good with this college.
This is one of the top 5 college of engineering in mumbai and having very good infrastructure and recently in 2019 it got the autonomous status of 10 year with in less time it is one of the best hum of engineering in mumbai and now he provide some course like AiMl, AiDs,IoT which is not even present in iits also in this college the faculty have a great knowledge and most of the are DR. status proffesor..and have a great classroom which having a great capacity of 70 to 80 students good board ....
I am studying in this college in the batch of 2019 just because the previous students of this college suggest me just beecause of many reasons like good placement record, good infrastructure, good campus for sports candidate this college is a big opportunity because this college have their own stadium and also a football ground they are many celebrities are also coming in this college for taking admission and for getting better life opportunity
as we know that this is pendemic like situation many of the big college did not provide a placement in their college but thakure college is a one of the highest pakage received in mid of pendemic which is 30 lakh in musigma company and not only 1 student get this they are 6 students who get the 30 lakh package and 12 are getting the 24 and many of them in 15 also and common salary is 7 lakh
the cost is little bit higher but u can't regret for that because if u got a good marks in mht cet u get the tfws seat and if u not got so this college accept a ebc also so u can also used this scheme condition apply
i already mentioned that this college have better campus and having very big canteen and have their own stadium.....
Joined this college best of luck
It's one of finest infrastructure you can come across any engineering college in the city. It has all top class services that a college can offer yo students as well as for teaching and non teaching staff.
Academics is one if the strongest point of TCET. Teachers have always kept growth of knowledge for students as priority. Specially at the time of submission and viva, teachers are quite friendly. Laboratory equipments quite helpful in making practical work to understand.
The Placement cell is good for other departments such as Comps, IT, Extc, Etrx but not for mechanical and civil. They have been trying to make an Improvement in the placement for such departments but unfortunately it's because of the market, they aren't able to be successful.
TCET is one those college where you get your overall development in every possible field, Academics is been at the top of the priority list and simultaneously co-circular and non-circular have also been promoted always.
Amazing
It's a place where every engineering students wants to live his life, because everyday something new to explore and be guided by one of the most finest and student-friendly teacher.
