Hello Shlok,

speaking about selecting the best B. Tech course for your career, it is something that only you can decide depending on where your interest lies. Here, we have provided some details that will help you choose the right branch out of all the available options for B. Tech branches.

B-Tech Mechanical engineering

Mechanical engineering is one of the most preferred and core streams of engineering education. It is the one and only course that gives you a plethora of options in terms of making a career in the field of your own choice. It is one exclusive branch that opens the doors for a student to make their career in the field of their own choice. Mechanical engineers are professionals needed in almost all sectors. Also, these courses are in very high demand in the job market. When you compare mechanical engineering to other engineering streams, it has a large scope in terms of choice, growth and earnings. A mechanical engineer can work in machine based industries, computer hardware and software industries, petroleum industries, electronics industries, aircraft industries, banking industry, etc., since there is a demand of mechanical engineers in every sector. It is a field that will never experience a recession.

B. Tech Computer Engineering

Computer engineering is the study of the theoretical foundations of information technology, its computation, implementation and application in computer systems. Computer science gives a lot of emphasize on fields like graphic designing, programming language theory and various other computation technology. In the past couple of years, IT sector has been growing rapidly and today it is one of the largest booming sectors in India. The pay scale and jobs available in this sector is very high. One can easily get an entry into top IT firms and establish themselves in this field. You can look forward to getting an entry in companies like Bharat Electronics Ltd., Nuclear Power Corporation of India, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, etc.

B-Tech Civil Engineering

Civil engineering is one of the oldest and the most popular engineering streams available. It involves design, construction, and maintenance of buildings, roads, dams, bridges, construction of townships and so on. Even though it is limited to the real estate sector and the infrastructure sector, yet it would be an interesting career if you have the interest and passion for it. Apart from mechanical engineering, civil engineering is the second most evergreen stream. There are ample opportunities for you, especially abroad. With an immense growth in the housing and infrastructure development, nuclear power projects, hydropower power projects, etc., there is an ever increasing demand for civil engineer graduates in India and abroad.

B-Tech Chemical Engineering

Chemical engineering involves the study of designing, maintaining and operation of large scale machinery, industrial plants and chemical processing for the production of various products like fibers, fabrics, paints, medical drugs, biomaterials, gasoline, lubricants, etc. No doubt that chemical engineering stream is limited to certain fields only, but they are very well paid individuals. By completing this course, one can get employment in companies like Reliance Industries Ltd., Cairn India, Tata chemicals, etc.

B-Tech Electronics

Electronic engineering is also a good career option. By completing your graduation in electronics and communication, one can make a career in the telecommunication industry, consumer electronics, IT industry, healthcare equipment manufacturing industry, mobile communication, etc. An electronics engineer has a lot of scope in Government, as well as private organizations like All India Radio, Indian Telephone Industry, Civil Aviation, Post and Telegraph department, etc.

Thanku.

Applying for BTech degree after diploma is quite different, either you can go for entrance examinations for deemed universities or go for examination to get into state govt colleges. From there you can directly join in the year or writing jee mains and jee advanced to get into iits and nits, but in iits and nits, you have to start from the first year. Hope I have given  the answer you are looking for.

If you are in a college which provides degree in other courses also, like you can do managememt courses or engineering courses then it will give you a BE degree.
But, if there is an engineering college which only gives engineering degree and no other courses are available there, then it will be called btech.

Every bcece engineering colleges are specially for engineering, so it will give you a btech degree.

Actually there is no difference between BE & Btech. If you got a btech degree then you may also be called BE holder.

the placement criteria us quite good since core companies visit college less for core branches like Siemens, bajaj, torrent ,etc.

Hello,

Kindly clarify your query so we ca help in solving your doubt. You are asking about the counselling for which entrance exam? Or if you want to know about any particular college, mention the college name.

If your query is about Central University of Haryana, then I hope you have been alloted a seat.
