I am currently in the junior year of my Bachelors in Computer Science Engineering. Our department offers an in depth knowledge and required skills set so that we could ace in our career and build a good professional regime. With interactive classes, and workshops, we are acquainted to modern computing technologies. more focus is given on practical training and students with the aforesaid guidance have been able to bag good opportunities. Needless to say students get a taste of quality education.
College Infra
We have a huge library with many gems of books, research papers, publications and periodicals that serves the needs of the faculty and students at campus. The central computing point serves as the hub of computing resources, and is shared by various departments and offices of the institution. Students can fulfill their academic needs by the judicious use of online resources from the computing facility. A central Wi-Fi connection is also set up at campus for students. No hostels are available.
Campus Life
The college stands regally in the IT hub or Kerala, situated inside the lush green campus of University of Kerala, spanning across 359 acres. The campus hosts a post office, an SBI bank and over half a dozen cafeterias. Health centres are also made available inside the campus premises for any emergency situation. The entire campus is strictly plastic-free. Various technical and cultural clubs such as Google DSC, IEDC and NSS students chapter are actively running in the campus.
Placements
Every year the college welcomes top MNCs from around the nation to hire the best minds. However, since the beginning of the ongoing pandemic, placement season has suffered. TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Speridian and Cognizant are the major recruiters. The average package offered to students ranges from 3 to 5 LPA. Their is no internship fair and all the offers are for full time employees. The geographic location of the college, being close to Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram puts in an added advantage.
Value For Money
For students securing a merit seat, the tuition fees is INR 35,000, while for management quota, the tuition fees is set to INR65,000 annually. I feel the college to be worth every penny of money that is charged, keeping an eye on the quality education and services that are made available to the students. The college clubs such as Google DSC and IEDC hosts a wide array of talks, fests, seminars and workshops, that are totally free of cost for students to participate in.
