University Polytechnic also serves as a foundational college of AMU and has much prestige in technical education. The programs here include diploma courses in engineering and design-related disciplines. All programs at the institute get AICTE approval for the All India Council for Technical Education. The admission process of University Polytechnic always limits to the good and capable candidates for joining in various diploma programs.
Most of the diploma programs at University Polytechnic have a minimum qualification requirement of being an SSC pass or equivalent. Diploma in Civil Engineering: This program has the highest intake with 90 seats. Candidates must have completed their SSC examination with a relevant score to be eligible for admission.
Diploma in Computer Engineering: The institute offers 30 seats for this program. Eligibility criteria include passing the SSC examination with a relevant score.
Diploma in Architecture Assistantship: This course has an intake of 25 seats. Applicants need to have cleared their SSC examination with a relevant score.
Diploma in Interior Design: With 20 seats available, this program also requires candidates to have passed the SSC examination with a relevant score.
Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation and Control, and Leather Goods and Footwear Technology: Each of these programs offers 30 seats. The eligibility criterion for all is passing the SSC examination with a relevant score.
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: This program has a large intake of 120 seats. Candidates must have completed their SSC examination with a relevant score to be eligible.
Post Diploma in Food Technology - This advanced diploma program offers 25 seats.
