Generally colleges like VIT , MIT ,PVG have cutoff higher than 90 percentage for lateral admission of diploma students . The entire admission process being centralised the cutoff usually closes for 90 percentage and later on preference is given to the army personal's (admission percentage based on other casts may vary) so, kindly make sure you appropriately fill your form and get admitted to a good college.

The indoor games played in VIT Pune are Chess, Carrom, Table tennis, and badminton. The outdoor sports grounds in VIT Pune are Kho-Kho ground, Volleyball ground, Handball, Kabaddi, and Cricket Cement Pitch with Net. Other outdoor sports played are athletics, hockey, lawn tennis, boxing, and judo. So, there are great sports facilities in VIT Pune.

COEP and VJTI are equally good for other branches, but for CS/IT, VJTI is the second best college in Maharashtra after IIT B.

However, VJTI provides more opportunities than these colleges. If you compare the placement statistics of VJTI and other colleges, you will notice that CS has the most opportunities at VJTI.VJTI is also visited by all of the world's top investment banks and financial services firms.Companies such as Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, CITI Bank, Barclays, Kotak, and Bank of America all visit VJTI. The hostels of VIT Pune are very nice and provide basic facilities to the students. There is an occupancy of 2 people in a single room. A single washroom is shared by 4 people. The cleanliness and hygiene of the hostel are also good. The college has tie-ups with different hotels which serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner to the students.  The hostel also has WIFI and Tv facilities. But there are limited seats available in the hostel.
