VIT Pune All Questions

Dear student,

Hostel facilities in VIT Pune was good but 60% of students can’t stay in college hostel, they are in in private hostels. In VIT Pune they are giving one room to two peoples and one bathroom sharing to four people itself.

According to cleanness, hostel management take the responsibility to clean the hostel every day and coming to mess part, food will be ok ok for only mess part they will charge 30000/- per year and total facilities like TV, Wi-Fi...etc. they will charge 40000/- per year.

Total fee for boys——70000/- per year

Girls——-60000/- per year

Coming to private hostels, which are near means 5km to the college. They will charge 4000/- per month and facilities are good than college hostels, if you want to take the food outside, there is three hotels near your hostel. Coming to cleanness part, too much cleanness is there as compared to college hostel and there is park availability at the hostel.

The difference between prime and regular hostels is that the prime one's only have a better look and AC in the room. Also the fees are higher for the Prime hostels.

The facilities:

• * 24 hours water supply and power supply supported by stand-by captive generators.

1. VIT is autonomous so It is free to decide its curriculum.  their academic pattern is significantly different from the colleges coming under Pune University, PCCOE being one of them.

2. VIT faculty is better than PCCOE

Hostel Fee: Boys-40000(regular), 67500(prime), Girls-35000

PCCOE Pune Fee Structure:

B.Tech- 139,059 (other state domicile),for Maharashtra domicile- 138,559 (open), 79,553 (OBC,EBC,EWS), 5,559 (SC/ST), 20,546 (SBC/ DT-VJ/NT/TFWS ), AND M.Tech.- 110,687 (other state),Maharashtra domicile 1,10,187(Open/OBC/NT/SBC ),7,687 (SC/ST).

Hostel Fee- Boys- 43000

So, here are the details of the fee and VIT Pune is a bit expensive than PCCOE.

VIT Pune offers a variety of facilities and infrastructure to its students. VIT Pune facilities include separate hostels for boys and girls, a modern gymnasium, indoor and outdoor game facilities for the physical and mental well-being of the students. The college also has a well-equipped library with a vast collection of books, encyclopedias, e-books, national and international journals. VIT Pune facilities also include a well-equipped cafeteria, auditoriums for events and seminars, medical room for the emergency purpose of the students. The college also has excellent IT infrastructure and Wi-Fi facilities for the benefit of the teachers and students. The college has a sports ground where a variety of outdoor sports like Volleyball, Football, Cricket  are played. Indoor games room is also available in the campus where a variety of sports like Carrom, Table Tennis and Chess are played by the students. The campus has a modern gymnasium with all the necessary equipment for fitness freak students.

The College doesn't have its own hostel but a third party manages a hostel where only vishwakarma students are allowed to stay. The seats are limited and are on first come first serve basis. The cost is Around 80k consisting of breakfast, dinner, WiFi, TV and your accomodation.It is 5kms away from the college. The hostel also has CCTV coverage and 24*7 security facilities for the benefit of the students.

According to previous year cutoff score you have to score around 175+ to get a seat in Pune institute of computer technology, Pune, sometimes it does go to 170 -165 but less than that can't get you a seat in PICT, Pune  computer science branch.
