Vivekanand Institute of Technology's Padmbhushan Dr Vasantdada Patil College of Architecture, Pune Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has a Library that was established in the year 1996. Since then, the library has made consistent progress in terms of the collection of books, Journals, theses, dissertations, CDs, practical training portfolios, case studies, yearbooks, databases, etc. More than 6000 books, 38 national and international journals, and three databases have been subscribed to by the college. The library is situated on the second floor of the college building. The total area of the library is 164.44 sqm. The seating capacity is 40 readers. The library is open to all patrons with state-of-the-art services for users. The library also boasts an informal open-air space for casual reading.  The library has adopted the Integrated Library Management System (I.L.M.S.). Patrons are able to access the library collection through the AutoLib Web OPAC facility under I.L.M.S. The library collection responds to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Architecture, including subjects like Art, History and culture, Urban design, Landscape design, Interior design, Architectural Design Graphics, Building Services, and many others. 

The College has a Computer Lab at PVP CoA provides a digital environment to train the students in Computer-Aided Design, 3D Modeling, and Simulation, which are used for architectural representation; Environmental Analysis of the building; Building Information Modeling, and Geographical Information System aids. There is 1 server and 128 computers in the institute. Out of which 69 computers are in the computer laboratory, along with audio audiovisual facility. The configuration of the Computers ranges from  I-3 to I-5, with RAM ranging from 4 GB to 8 GB, as per the usage of the computer. The computer lab is also equipped with facilities like a Printer, Plotter, photocopier machines scanner, and Essential Software such as Autodesk Auto Cad, Autodesk Revit, Rhino 5.0, Adobe Suite, Corel Draw, etc. 

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students. The canteen is the soul of the student's life. The college has a really enviable location of the canteen on the upper floor with beautiful scenery around. The management ensures that junk food like soft drinks, etc, is served in the canteen. Only the healthy and wholesome foods are advised by the Diet consultant. The hostelling students are served their breakfast and lunch in the college canteen only, thus saving a lot of commuting time. The informal atmosphere of the canteen, wherein the faculty and students mingle, promotes a healthy atmosphere.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college offers a boys’ hostel facility, providing good hostel accommodation for its students.

The college offers a girls' hostel facility, providing good hostel accommodation for its students.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has a Gym facility for the students. The management firmly believes in the health of the students and has even provided open-air gymnasium equipment on the campus. The various fitness equipment is a regular hunt for the students.

The College operates a fleet of more than 6 buses to transport students safely staying in various corners of the city to the college. The college prefers that the students travel by college transport not only from the view of safety reasons but also to offer extra time for traveling for bonding together. The bus facility also helps in organizing various site visits not only in Pune but also to surrounding areas also with a lot of flexibility and convenience. As a rule, no private vehicles are allowed for the site visits, and the faculty accompanies the students on the bus.

The college has state-of-the-art equipment for printing, photocopying, binding, laminating, and large-format printing and scanning, which is vital for an architectural college. A well-trained and experienced staff operates the printing facility at convenient times for the students.
