MIT Pune is better that PICT, Symbiosis, and Bharti Vidyapeeth for B.tech.
Around 150 Companies visit this campus for placements. Academics is according to Industry standards and Faculty is also very experienced. There is strict discipline related to attendance and uniform. You need to maintain 75% attendance and there
Both colleges are affiliated to University of Pune. So academics are more or less the same. MIT Pune however is slightly more linient in the above matters. Extracurricular activities in MIT Pune suck and are discouraged by most faculty members but the situation is still far better than PICT.

I would suggest both are almost similar. However I am suggesting some facts regarding both that you may consider while selecting:
MIT Pune is a state private university established recently. The MIT WPU, is quite young and the placements are decent. B.Tech is offered in around 10 courses
My campus is among the biggest and greenest campuses in Pune, consisting of multiple buildings, lawns, fountains, and different sports grounds. It spread across a massive area with a dome at the center marking the world peace.
