XIME Chennai Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The spacious men’s hostel is located inside the campus of XIME Chennai. It has well-lit, spacious rooms with attached washrooms. The basic amenities include 24-hour hot water service, Internet facility (wi-fi enabled) and purified water. An in house common with indoor games and entertainment facility.

The girls hostel, which is named as ‘MARIA HOSTEL’, is located right behind the main teaching-cum administration block of the Institute. It provides lodging and boarding for about 180 students. There are three floors, well-lit, spacious twin sharing, air-conditioned rooms with attached washrooms. The basic amenities include 24-hour hot water service, internet facility (wi-fi enabled) and purified water. An inhouse common room with indoor games and entertainment facility.

The college provides spacious multi-equipped gym facilities for the students, keeping in mind their overall health and wellness. The fitness room is one place loved and used by the students widely.

XIME Library has a collection of 7,000 books and over 90 International & National Journals and Magazines and subscription of Harvard business cases, 4 Business Newspapers, 4 General Newspapers and 1 International Newspaper.

A fully integrated computer lab with LAN facilities to over 100 PCs with software such as R, Python, SPSS, PowerBI, Tableau for creating presentations, data analysis, word processing, image capture and modification, statistical analysis and multimedia activity. Latest servers and PCs as nodes, connected on a Windows Server platform. The campus is wi-fi enabled and has a high speed internet facility of 100Mbps along with video conferencing facility.

The institute has outdoor courts for Volleyball, Throwball, Badminton & Basketball. These are used by the students to conduct tournaments and matches. A clubhouse designated specially for indoor games such as Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis. It is a well lit, spacious room for students' recreation purposes.

The college is equipped with a fully functional hygienic cafeteria. It provides quality and healthy food for the students. A variety of food cuisines are available for the students keeping both their health and taste in mind such as North Indian, South Indian and Chinese. The mess committee consisting of the students makes sure that the canteen serves fresh and hot meals and the menu is planned so as to serve the best to the students. A special corner for snacks is also available for the students at all times.

The college has a wi-fi facility available all over its campus for both students and faculty members to help them with any research and project work.

The college has a robust alumni association which helps pass out students to stay connected with college and faculty members. It also helps present students to know about alumni experiences.

Other than class rooms, the college has seminar halls, tutorial rooms, board rooms, placement room, MDP rooms and auditorium. The state of the art auditorium has a seating capacity of 500.

The college has a guest room facility available for the family members of the students and visiting faculty members.

The college also has an on-campus medical clinic. The medical clinic provides first-aid treatment to the students and faculty members for free.

There are 10 spacious classrooms capable of accommodating up to a maximum of 100 students. They are fully equipped with a public address system and LCD projectors.

The Motive of the placement cell is to act as a facilitator to arrange campus visits and coordinate the recruitment process of the prospective employers of graduating students of the college.
