College infrastructure of ground floor is good but first and second floor had old benches if clg changes its benches and whitewashing it .It will become good .Also labs of new building is bad electricity not work most of the time .
Academics for commerce department is good . Faculties are so helpful in nature .But for Additional subjects (sec, vac)faculties are not good .Many faculties are so interactive and socialize with students .
Placement cell is good because it is active and offers various internship opportunities. And also organises many workshops. It also collaborates with many companies to provide training to the students .
Yes it is value for money. It have a good infrastructure and best faculty for commerce department comparing it to its fees.
Campus life is good. We can sit and roam anywhere without restrictions.
No
College infrastructure is power. Low maintainance . Walls are not good. Fans does not work. New building is under construction from the past 5 years. Old building is average for bcom hons and poor for other courses.
Academics is also average.the core subjects teachers are well but the teachers of elective courses are useless. They do not serve any valuable knowledge to us. U cannot depend on teachers for studies.
Forget about it...you won't get any placement if you're a avg student in zakir Husain Delhi College. Maybe if you're a really a grade student then there might be a chance. Otherwise I won't suggest this College.
Yes it is value for money
Campus life is chill and fun. We enjoy a lot.
College infrastructure is good. Benches are new and boards are well maintained. Canteen and greenery is great. Also the food is fresh and tasty . It also has mestle and mother diary everything is beautiful.
Academics are not such great for every course. The teachers are on leave maximum times also they just give assignments to submit and doesnot help in further progress and process of examination.its only average.
The college regularly put up internship drives giving the hetter placement opportunities . Many big companies also come for the recruitment and give oppotunities to 1st year as well as 2nd 3rd and 4th year students.
Yes college is value for money as we just have to complete our graduation from this college new skills we have to learn by ourselves. Hence we just have to study nicely to obtain good marks and a college to study.
Campus life is good big campus good greenery and big ground . We are free to move anywhere and there is no such restrictions. But there are ristricted gate entries. Gaurds does not allow students to enter from other gates .
The infrastructure of Zakir Husain Delhi College has always impressed me with its blend of tradition and modernity. The classrooms are spacious and well-ventilated, creating a comfortable learning environment. The college library is one of my favorite places — well-stocked with books and a peaceful space for study.
Academics are not so good . Bcom hons teachers are good but the other subjects which the teachers are dedicated to teach us are not so familiar with their own subjects. The faculty is average and we can't depend on them.zhdc
In zhdc , there is society related to the placement and there is so many drives held in the clg related to placement of students which helps students to gain internships as a fresher or experienced both.
Yes the clg is value for money just in some things clg is not good like in water coolers and cleaniness.but other than that it is all good . Fees is also very affordable.
Campus life at Zakir Husain Delhi College is lively, inclusive, and full of learning beyond classrooms. My experience here has been filled with cultural events, fests, and active participation in societies like NSS, which made college days exciting and meaningful. The friendly atmosphere, supportive peers, and engaging activities have helped me build confidence, friendships, and unforgettable memories.
1. Our college have all the necessary facilities i.e lab classes including laptops , good benches but still there are rooms where fans don’t work and other minimal problems 2 Our library have almost all the books related to every course also have wifi connection that works too also its fully air conditionered All the books are duly placed w.r.t course but classrooms have white boards not smart boards 3 Space is just necessarily clean not that clean like washrooms in GCR can be maintained more and need cleanliness a bit more
1. Am studying bcom.(hons.) because i had a keen interest in finance and accounts since 11th standard Overall teaching is very good the faculty is excellent and superb teaching style with very supportive teachers 2. The curriculum is updated but it is still a question of foubt that if am job ready because there is more knowledge focused than skill focused environment
1. According to what i have listened placement is minimal also there is a while placement cell society for such works 2. Don’t know the exact percentage but recently heard that last year a student from bcom hons got a 20LPA package so considering that placement is gradually being good over years 3 to be honest i don’t know much about it yet as am still in 2nd year so i have not been part of any of these processes but ofcourse teachers here are very supportive they keep on pushing you to join such activities
1. In 1st year it was 14,500 and in 2nd year it is 16,700 2. I think the fees is very minimal and everyone can easily afford it but ofcourse college and do a bit more than what’s doing now like they should become more active in many things like other colleges of delhi university offer so comparing that it’s a slight low worth
1. Campus is fine not too small not too big there a building that is still yet to open The best feature is faculty the teachers are genuinely so good in their teachinngs so if your main focus is studying you can refrr this And the worst is may be the less activeness of society and ither activities because our college seems to be boring at times while others offer multiple events 2. Students are endulging crowd is good teachers are genuinely supportive It is located near delhi gate metro station The area arround the college is a bit mess so evening can be a bit unsafe but morning seems fine For emergency i guess there are a but of precautions
If your main focus is studying and not involving in other activities than you can definitely go for it but if you like studies along with fun activities than it is a question of doubt
College infrastructure is not very good. At some points, the administration can improve like the conditions of washrooms, canteen, etc. The benches of some classes are also broken and some classes don't have sufficient desk so they can improve these points.
The core subject teachers are very engaging and very good. Whereas some teachers of the electives does not teach enough for their subject. The faculty of electives need to be reviewed time to time. The commerce department is good.
The placement of this college is good. They have a separate placement cell for this. Some of my knowns have graduated from this college and are in great position in their life. It is good to be a part of placement cell as it helps in keeping a check for your future goal.
Comparing with other universities or colleges, it values money.
Campus life is okay. It does not have anything to explore. There is no market or or shops near college for emergencies.
There are 4 entry gates into the college and three buildings one of science and other of commerce and one is under construction which is said to be open in December of 25 and there is a large field and one canteen and a auditorium
The classes starts on 9 in the morning and most of them end around 4 and there are free class in the middle like on 12 or 2 etc . The teachers are nice And helpful . There are 7 subjects 3 core 1 general elective 1 for sec 1 for vac and 1 aec subject
There is a active placement cell of the college . The placement cell works on LinkedIn mainly . But the placement is low like most of them don't get hired by the corporations i think the highest for bcom was 5lpa
The annual fee is about 17000 per year and 2500 exam fee . I think it's worth the money because of the experience and the people and the teachers and i do think that the college is well known in du so I think it is value for money.
People are nice and helpful . Seniors as well as juniors are good people . There is a nice canteen to chill and a library to do college work and the teachers too are very helpful the class starts at 9 in the morning
College doesn't have necessary , infrastructure, facilities and equipment College doesn't have sports and hostel facilities but they provide average library The space isn't clean much and the canteen food is just average
Currently I am enrolled in 3 year ug course b.com hons from this College the quality of teaching is 3 on 5 The curriculum is needed to be change because we have to study SEC VAC And AEC subject which only increase the burden amd its for no use
The placement cells are not very active and the placement rate are also very less The salary offerd by the company is very less i guess the average salary offered by the company is near about 3-4 LPA
Yes the college is value for money because u can complete a 3 years ug course from this college in just 50 to 60,000
Infra is kinda okayish. I won't say it's top notch. We have a new building but no clue when they will open it. Other wise the campus feels old. But yaa we've got new benches in the commerce block now. So that's something good. But we really need air conditioning in the classes.
I don't know what to say about academics. I guess they are similar to other du colleges. We're being taught the same thing taught in other colleges. So there is not much difference I feel. Till now got decent teachers. But will get to see bad teachers soon
Placements from our college? I don't think much. Very less students get placement and that too mostly from our courses because other course are not that required in corporate world maybe. But it's average I think. Normal placements. Nothing over the top
Yaa this is something I feel. The fee is very low compared to other colleges. Sometimes I feel about the infrastructure and all but then also realise we aren't paying that much so maybe it's decent for what we are paying.
Campus life is also average. The ground is not always open. New building is definitely also a major concern. This also depends from person to person. Honestly I didn't had much expectations so it's okay for me
The college infrastructure is good and the campus is also good. The campus also has a garden which promotes greenery and is good for the environment. Ya there’s a problem of clean drinking water obviously.
The academics of the college is also satisfactory and the teachers are experienced too. A bit of more flexibility in the teaching would definitely result in the better environment of the college as well as among the students.
The placements held annually in the college are also satisfactory but there’s always a scope for broadening and more better companies coming to the college and selecting creative minds from the campus of Zhdc.
As it is a government college, the fees is comparatively very less from private colleges and the the rate of return is good with respect to the money invested in the fees and other charges. So yeah, I feel it’s worth it
Hi,
Don’t Judge college by NIRF ranking. all the colleges of Delhi university are equally good. the only things matters is the Crowd and Location. As per my knowledge Location is very good situated in the Heart of New Delhi near Civic Centre near New Delhi Railway station.
Hey Sneha,
According to the rules of Delhi University, if you are eligible for any College according to a particular cutoff and you have not applied for it you will not be given admission to it in that cutoff. But you can apply for college in next cutoff but as
