You can get a seat in BITS pilani if your secure good marks and rank in BITSAT and have a PCM aggregate of 75%(Physics + Math+Chem /300) since those are minimum requirement in any reputed university in India. Do calculate your PCM aggregate and perform well in BITSAT.

According to the percentile of your son, his expected rank is between 1,51,000 to 1,67,000. He may not get in NIT for this rank. Yes he can reappear for 3 consecutive years in JEE MAIN with total 6 chances. Yes he is eligible for BITSAT in BITS Pilani.

In BITS Pilani, the admission process of the institute always ensured admission to all first rank holders in their respective board examinations. No you are not qualified to appear for the bits examination as you are not able to meet the eligibility criteria to appear for the bits examination.

You should have minimum of 75% aggregate marks in PCM in qualifying 12th exams to appear for bitsat.
