Hello student,
There is a quota of JEE Mains in the state colleges of Maharashtra though it is preferable to give MHT-CET for getting into the state government colleges of Maharashtra. If you are seeking admission into COEP you don't have to worry about the branch. Above 200 marks will be sufficient for you.
If you want a core branch such as computer science and engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical
engineering and so on you need marks above 250.
The above cases are for the general student. For an SC and ST student, the cutoff is very low as you do not need to touch even 200 for getting into the CEP as a core streamer.
Same for OBC the cutoff is lower but slightly higher than SC and ST which can be above or around 200 but still have more chances of getting into COEP than a general student.
Cheers!
Hi Rushikesh,
To give you a clear idea, I will give you the cutoff of previous years of all the branches you are asking for, from which you can draw a conclusion.
I am assuming you are from the General category.

Hi omkar .
For admission in coep from sc quota .
You must need at least.-
156 for computer science
140 for civil engineer
142 for electronics
147 for mechanical
145 for electrical.
So these are some cutoff provided by the coep previously.
The marks won't differ this year by a large amount . So yes . That is what you need to get admission in coep.
Hope this was helpful
Hi maitri .
First of all any branch in coep needs marka more than 160 . Also you need to score well in boards . And the rank needed is like in like 10 or 20 thousands. So it is a long shot . But you must try at least.
YOU can fill it in the counseling CAP rounds and see what happens. But as i told you don't keep your hopes high . Hope this was helpful
Hi mayuresh .
Generally the cutoff for obc category for admission starts from 170 . But as you are close maybe you can get admission in coep for CSE. But surely you can get any other brand . It all depends on counseling and cap rounds .
So fill the form accordingly and try from both categories.
Hope this was helpful
Ancient buildings with best modern touches is a most famous building in college Overall 36 acres campus, River view and 7 8 department buildings, 2 canteens and 2 auditoriums, 1 sbi bank and atm is also inside.
The labs and their corresponding equipment are of the highest quality and majority of the faculty are experienced professionals. Classrooms are mediocre in terms of design and comfort as is the WiFi network. Libraries and sports facilities are good. Canteen is clean and hygienic however the Boat Club canteen could do with some work.
The College of Engineering Pune is very prestigious for its impressive infrastructure, which basically enhances the student experience on the campus. Classrooms are also well equipped with the Projectors, digital learning tools and also are very spacious.
