IIT (ISM) Dhanbad Environmental Engineering or IIT Patna Metallurgy or IIIT Pune CSE?

As per rankings for engineering colleges.

1. IIT Dhanbad is ranked 12th
2. IIT Patna is ranked 26th
3. IIIT Pune is not ranked under 100

So if you do not have particular interest in any stream you can refer the following order, as the rankings are reliable and are given based on so many important factors of concern. But in case you have interest in any of the listed branches then you should go with that. Because if you go with the IIT tag and you dont have interest in the stream, then at last you will regret, as you can perform to your best only when you have interest in that stream. Before choosing any of the college just have a look on the syllabus of all 3 branches and then decide.

Choosing  the right college completely depends upon your interest.
Choosing college wise IIT dhanbad has nirf ranking-12 which suggest that it is a very good college but the branch you have got has less/low ctc
placement .But if you want to pursure higher education you can choose iit dhanbad as living among good rankers will increase your level of thinking.
IIt patna nirf -26 , but placement record for metallurgy is not that much satisfying.
IIIt pune on other hand has a good placement record for CSE- highest ctc-36lpa
Average ctc-11lpa
Hence the choice depends on your interest ,you want to study enviromental,metalurgy,cse do not go against your interest.
Because you have to spend 4 years of your life with the same.

Well, this question depends on

• If you've already identified your enormous area of interest, then college doesn't matter, you can so for second best institutes, i.e. NITs and IIITs, but
• If you are yet to identify, then you need a better platform to explore, and you should go for best institutes like IITs.
