Course Overview

The ‘Flow Through Porous Media’ National Program for Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) online course describes the classification and application of porous media flow with an understanding of industrial applications. This course is provided on the Swayam online education platform to the students of undergraduate, and postgraduate level from various disciplines of engineering which includes petroleum, biochemical, soil science, geotechnical, and hydrology. This elective course is developed and offered by the Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) Kharagpur.

This faculty development program on porous media flow will take twelve weeks to complete the course. The course instructor for the AICTE approved online training program is Prof. Somenath Ganguly from the department of chemical engineering at IIT Kharagpur.
