IIT Roorkee Placement Process: The placement process is divided into three phases.
Phase 1: The company and placement cell takes care of shortlisting pre-placement talks, visits and also offers internships.
Phase 2: For conducting the interviews, the students apply for the company’s available position. The company uses the students’ resumes and negotiates the appropriate dates with the Placement Cell.
Phase 3: Students are selected for the appropriate job profile and selections are based on the interview process and assessments. Selected students are offered job letters or offers of employment.
As per the IIT Roorkee summer placement report for the Department of Management Studies 2020-22 batch, companies from diverse domains participated and provided internships to students. A total of 36 companies participated and provided students with 107 offers. The batch strength was 71, out of which 43 students were freshers with no prior work experience. The average stipend and highest stipend offered were Rs. 50,160 and Rs. 1,80,000 respectively.
Furthermore, the IIT Roorkee placement report for the Department of Management Studies 2019-21 batch reflects, 41 companies participate in the IIT Roorkee placement drive. Out of 41 companies, 31 were first-time participants.
