STAGE 1 - IIT Bhilai placement cell invites various recruiters and sends them all the necessary documents such as the Placement Brochure along with the invitation letter to conduct the placement drive.
STAGE 2 - Interested recruiters and employers accept the invitation for the placement drive at IIT Bhilai.
STAGE 3 - Students interested in participating in the IIT Bhilai placement drive need to register for the same and submit the required documents to the placement cell for the placement process.
STAGE 4 - Recruiters and Companies visit the campus on the specified date deliver a pre-placement talk to make the students aware of the basic policies of the company and clear all the doubts of the students after the session.
STAGE 5 - The recruiters conduct various selection tests to recruit students such as written tests, group discussions and interviews. Students have to qualify each of these tests to get a job offer from the recruiter.
STAGE 6 - Candidates qualifying all the selection tests are selected and are offered jobs. The final list is provided to the placement cell by the recruiters.

Indian Institute of Technology, Bhilai, is one of the 6 IITs which was established in the year 2016 in the state of Chhattisgarh by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development. It is also known as IIT Bhilai. The college is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The campus of IIT Bhilai covers an area of 432 acres and it has a total of 45 faculty members.
Although the campus is a new one, but overall the classrooms are extremely well maintained, the faculties are really helpful, polite, qualified. The placement records are best for CSE and ECE branch while for the rest you can expect an average salary.

If you were to go by my opinion then i think you should take iit bhilai only if you get non core branches but if you are not getting non core branches then i don't think you should iit bhilai as it's newer iit.
Whereas nit Raipur is very good and renowned in terms of placements and academic achievements. Here you can take both non core and core branches. The average package of this college is 8.7L per annum.
Although iit bhilai has 10L average package but that is mainly due to its non core branches and not the core branches.

As part of new IITs been build this one is surely a good one with all the basic facilities and best teaching member. The college provides moderate speed Wi-Fi. Mechanical labs have the best equipment. Electrical labs have average equipment. Machines labs have the best equipment. Chemistry lab has the safest environment. Physics lab has realistically possible scenarios for experiments. Overall the quality is above average.
Almost 50% of the students get placed. The highest salary package offered is 22.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 6.5 LPA. The average salary package offered is 10 LPA. Amazon is the top recruiter. Roles of a software engineer are offered. The highest salary package offered in our course is 22.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered in our course is 7.5 LPA. The average salary package offered in our course is 11 LPA. Almost 80% of the students got internships mostly in older IITs.
