Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad provides admission to B.Tech,M.Tech, M.Sc, M.S and Ph.D programmes. At the Undergraduate level, IIT Palakkad takes admission for B.Tech courses in five specialisations based on the score of JEE Advanced and  JoSAA counselling. Admission to the M.Tech programme is done on the basis of the candidates' GATE Score and admission to the M.Sc. programme of IIT Palakkad is done through the JAM portal. For admission to Ph.D programmes at IIT Palakkad, a candidate must have a bachelor’s degree with a good academic record and a valid GATE Score.

• All interested candidates, fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria, must apply online through the admission portal. 

• Online application form is available at the institute website

• The candidate needs to fill the application form along with the application fee and upload all supporting documents ( Educational certificates, Mark sheets and GATE Score card, State of purpose.

• After filling up the application form, the candidate needs to take a printout and keep it for records.

IIT Palakkad UG Admissions

The institute offers a total of 5 BTech courses at the undergraduate level. The BTech programme is offered in full-time mode with a duration of four years. The BTech courses offered at IIT Palakkad are B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering, B.Tech Electrical Engineering, B.Tech Civil Engineering, B.Tech Mechanical Engineering and B.Tech Data Science and Engineering. IIT Palakkad Admission Process to Ph.D/M.S. Courses

• Candidates must have a valid score in GATE.

• Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria and have a good academic background.

• Candidates are required to upload a statement of purpose (SOP) maximum of 500 words along with the application in pdf format in the research admission portal. 

• Candidates are selected based on academic record and their performance in the interview and/or test by the Selection Committee

• Candidates joining the MS/PhD program have to submit their original mark sheets along with provisional certificates at the time of admission. 

• Admission process is complete after verification of documents and submission of fee.
