Hello,
Your category rank of 60k in OBC is not enough to secure a seat in IIITs due to the sheer demand of the courses in these institutes and the industry popular branches of Computer Science, and related branches. It is very highly unlikely for you to secure a seat through JoSAA until you belong to such a state where Home State rank goes way below as in the case for Delhi, Sikkim, Puducherry, etc. I advise you to look for other colleges as well as some good private colleges. Just remember college doesn't matter to your success if you do hard and smart work.
Thank You.
Hello,
Your rank of 76,500 is not enough for you to secure a decent NIT or IIIT. Talking about Tier-2 NITs, almost all of them closes before even 50k rank considering other states quota and decent branches. I am telling about decent branches because IIIT doesn't even provide decent branches, it provides the most in-demand branch in India.
You can look into your home state NITs which are the best chance for you if it is a Tier-2 NIT. If you belong to certain states like Punjab, Haryana, etc. Coming to IIITs, you can definitely try for newer IIITs which don't have there permanent campuses like UNA, KOTTAYAM, RANCHI, etc through your chances are not that much great. While you can try for the Northeast IIITs and with special round coming on, you can definitely get a seat in IIITs but I would say you keep other options open too and just don't hang on special rounds specifically which are highly unpredictable so better take college via JoSAA before taking the special round.
Thanks
Hello,
EWS Quota has been implemented this from this year and to sum up, its effect more or less is, if you are getting any seat in 25k rank as general then that seat will be available to you for 29k rank. I hope the expected impact of EWS quota has been cleared. Now continuing onto your question, your score of 91 percentile is not enough for you for securing seats in good IIITs due to their popularity and the demand of branches.
My verdict will be that you may stand a chance in some new IIITs that too only in the special round and I highly recommend you to look for other state government colleges and good private colleges.
Thanks
First iiit takes admission through jee mains. As for iit your rank is good enough to get good iit. You can get iit bhu, iit roorkee with branches like mechanical engineering, iit guwahati with chemical engineering, ISM dhanbad with electronic and communication engineering.

As a third year B-tech student i have spent two years on campus and want to share my honest experience. Our college boasts a spacious and well maintained campus spread across around 30 acres. The main academic block are clean and fully functional with essential labs and new tech ,modern classrooms equipped with projectors and comfort seating there are also designated seminar halls and conference rooms on the ground floor of academic block. The academic block is mainly divided into 3 blocks, Block A, B and C including a very large and useful library in B block. Hostels are very close to academic block most of the hostel blocks consist of 9 floors each floor consists of 7 rooms with 6 three student rooms and 1 four student room. there is also single room hostels from second year but limited entries depending on CGPA of students. Hostel Mess is inside the hostel in ground and 1st floors. There is also a college canteen, Nescafe outlet (functioning up to 2 am ) and a stationary store inside campus. Whole campus including hostels is equipped with high speed WIFI up to a speed of 350mbps. The campus and hostels are maintained clean and tidy .Food is not the best and non native students find it difficult to maintain but there are other options plenty because mess fee is weekly and optional.
College infrastructure is overall good as it's just 23 acres but it is well maintained. All the required classes and labs are present in the academic block area. We have a large sports ground for football and cricket also.
College infrastructure is quite good there is lot of greenery in our college. Building are a bit old. Rooms are okayish i would say(enough for a person) college is small, it extends upto 30 acres. Overall it is not much bad
