Hello aspirant,

As your EWS rank is 18621 so there might be some chances that you get a seat in NIT but still you will not have much of the choice for branch selection.

You can use the college predictor tool to predict the best suited colleges for yourself.

Hi Sanjib,

At this rank, if you're from the general category you won't get any NIT, IIIT or GFTI. I would suggest you to look for other state government colleges that accept JEE Main's rank or you can also try for some private colleges that accept JEE Main's rank. Below is the list of all such private colleges:

All the best

Hello Pritam.
Sorry to inform you that your score is low and at this rank you can't expect any IIIT's. Neither your category will help you as much as it could provide you a Seat. You better go for some private colleges or drop this year and go for preparation  you can bounce back  strongly and hence can be successful.
Good luck.

Hi Praveen,

Based on your rank in OBC category, you can definitely expect IIITs-

Hello aspirant,

I am sorry to say but the ranking  through which a student gets CSE in IIT is very high. And by your rank it is very difficult to say that you can get an IIT.

But without losing hope you can predict your college through college predictors.

Good luck.

Hey there,

With category rank of 26,500 you have chances to get into the NITs. In NITs you can apply via Home State (HS) quota for which you have priority. You have to register for JoSAA for considering you for counselling. JoSAA prepares a rank list and release opning and closing rank. So your counselling is based on JoSAA rank list.

Also, you can use the college predictor to get the best possibilities of geeting a college.

Hi Noah, IIITDM Kancheepuram is better. The fees is less and the placements of this college are good. Recruiting companies are also of top level. IIITDM is a government college where as IIIT Kottayam is based on PPP model(Public Private Partnership). To know more about these colleges follow the link below:

Hi nallagonda ,
11000 is a good rank but after considering your sc quota it will definitely not going to help you to get admission into any prestigious college of engineering like nits or iiits.
As nits are one of the most sought after college in feild of engineering so they have high cutoffs for the candidates to get admission..

But though if I consider that you might have homestate quota in any northeast region then  there's a chance for you to get admission in nit .

Hope it helps!!!

College Infrastructure

As a third year B-tech student i have spent two years on campus and want to share my honest experience. Our college boasts a spacious and well maintained campus spread across around 30 acres. The main academic block are clean and fully functional with essential labs and new tech ,modern classrooms equipped with projectors and comfort seating there are also designated seminar halls and conference rooms on the ground floor of academic block. The academic block is mainly divided into 3 blocks, Block A, B and C including a very large and useful library in B block. Hostels are very close to academic block most of the hostel blocks consist of 9 floors each floor consists of 7 rooms with 6 three student rooms and 1 four student room. there is also single room hostels from second year but limited entries depending on CGPA of students. Hostel Mess is inside the hostel in ground and 1st floors. There is also a college canteen, Nescafe outlet (functioning up to 2 am ) and a stationary store inside campus. Whole campus including hostels is equipped with high speed WIFI up to a speed of 350mbps. The campus and hostels are maintained clean and tidy .Food is not the best and non native students find it difficult to maintain but there are other options plenty because mess fee is weekly and optional.

Overall college life here is not too much but good.
