hi,
see cutoff score changes every year, it depends on some major factors like number of applicants, students category, choice of stream and so on. now coming to m.tech stream of civil engineering, you have options to select the streams in nit calicut is as follows,
Structural Engineering
Traffic and Transportation Planning
Offshore Structures
Environmental Geotechnology
Water Resources Engineering
the however based on previous years score analysis you have no chances in any of the civil m.tech stream of nit calicut, however you may try for north east nits.

Hello,
According to percentile your rank would fall somewhere between 286440-322000. Unfortunately, you cannot take admission in NIT Calicut, and not only about NIT Calicut, with this rank it seems very difficult for you to take admission in any of the NITs. I strongly suggest you to go for GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutions) Assam University or Ghani Khan Institute of Engineering and Technology, West Bengal. Maybe you get admission there.

Being from Other State Category, secondly having OBC Advantage, you will must target atleast 7.5k OBC Rank to secure Civil at NIT Calicut. For OBC Rank, 7.5k, you need a CRL of around 30-35k. For this range you must target anywhere between 96.8-97.2 Percentile in JEE Main or 130-140/300 as Score Target.
Dear aspirant ,
Undoubtedly nit Calicut would be the best option for you for civil engineering as the placement stats of nit calicut are far better than prayagraj for civil engineering. The average package in this branch in nit Calicut is around 6-6.5L and stats for prayagraj is not mentioned.
Hello,
NIT Calicut college was established 1961. Its very reputable college. And ofcourse it's a national institute of technology. For civil engineering course highest package is 15lpa and average package is 5lpa. Infrastructure is good and facilities are highly qualified.
Now Andra University of visakhapatnam was established 1926. Its also a good engineering college. Highest package of CSE course 16lpa and average package is 4lpa. Infrastructure is good and faculties are highly qualified but due to research they are not completed the syllabus.
According to all of these both are good college. Subject wise i think CSE is better now days than civil engineering. So choice is totally yours.
All the best .
NIT Calicut has outstanding infrastructure that fully supports academic and personal development. The classrooms are spacious and equipped with modern teaching aids. The laboratories are well-maintained, advanced, and updated with the latest equipment. The central library is vast, with an excellent collection of books, journals, and digital resources. We are having good lab facilities, xerox shops, but in hostel canteen facilities are not there. There are canteens in campus, but inside hostel, canteen facility is nill.stationary, xerox facility is there , also study rooms, common room facility is good. But wifi may trouble sometimes ????
One of the largest engineering colleges in Kerala build a long time back standing out in infrastructure and a large campus. Classrooms are big enough to accommodate the large population of students, especially the first year classrooms, seminar halls and auditoriums are the finest. Regular maintainance of living spaces keeps it clean and tidy. Food is good offering us to try a very vast variety of cuisines across India all in one place.
