In iiit Allahabad  highest package - 43 LPA
Average package - 20.83 LPA
In NIT calicut  highest package - 49.75LPA

When it comes to NIT's ,NIT Calicut is one of the top colleges and opportunities  . It has a good infrastructure .The branch EEE is also good.

Average package-Rs.7.5 lakhs

Highest package-Rs.15 lakhs

Tarun , On the basis of placement the best branch of NIT calicut was Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). Because there are the following recruiters of NIT Calicut are:

Amazon, Microsoft, DirectIT, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan, Oracle ST Tech, Bajaj, Larsen & Toubro, Tata Motors and Maruti.

Hello soma shekhar , Ece at NIT Warangal would be be better, NIT Warangal is academically better and placements are good for ECE dept. CSE is the most sought after course in nits, but NIT Warangal  is much better than NIT Calicut . So go for the better college.

Best branch in nit calicut is computerscience  engineering because of its placement record is almost 100% in cse and the top recruiters visiting are Amazon, Microsoft, Jp morgan , Morgan Stanley,  GoldmanSachs, L&T, Oracle...

In each NIT there is a option to change branch. But change of branch depends upon following criteria.

1. Whether there is any seat available in your preferred branch or not.
2. You need to be the topper of your batch as there will be counselling as per CGPA achieved in 1st
