Hey there
With 76 percentile you have less chances of getting nit Calicut as your percentile is low. NIT Calicut is in top NITs and thus even in ST category your chances are low.
Check the link for detailed cutoff
Good luck
Hello!!!!!
NIT trichy and NIT calicut both are equally good in computer science engineering . But I recommend for NIT trichy as it is in better position than NIT calicut .It is in top 1 among all the NIT's which are there in India.NIT,trichy is also ranked as 10 by NIRF(National Institutional Ranking Framework ).The course fees for computer science engineering is costs nearlt around 8.72 lakhs for four years. The college also has the great placements.Around 50%-60% (at least) of the computer science students got placed with a salary package of more than 10 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Oracle, Nutanix, DE Shaw, etc., visit the campus for placements and offer a salary package of more than 20 LPA.
HOPE IT HELPS!!!!!!
ALL THE BEST!!!!!!!

Hello Abel
With 90 percentile your expected all India rank will be around 86, 901.
See your admission to NIT depends on cut off of nit Institutes No doubt your percentile is quite good and you have chances of getting seat in nit but there's tough competition too.
Cut off of Institutions depends on number of students appeared and qualified in exam, difficulty level of exam and previous year's cut off of Colleges.
Last year's JEE main qualifying score was 89.7548849 for general category. This year cut off may be high.
So for more information refer to the link given below

Hello Naman,
To get into the above colleges in IT branch, you have to appear for JEE-Main exam. As you are of general Category and outside region so there will be tough competition for you.
You need to score at least 250 marks out of 300 in JEE-Main, than you can think of getting IT branch in asked colleges.
I hope this answer helps you.
All The Best!!
hi deepa,
It all depends on you both institutes are totally different, both offering different coursed. Both fields are in great demand so don't worry about career choice regarding placements.
If you are interested in designing field then join bdes programme.
There are only few institutes in India which offer B.Des. Study of design in Bachelor would provide more impulsive impact to the students and good understanding towards design process and solutions. There are very nice and qualified faculties in design discipline in IIITDM Jabalpur.
Program is good but the location and infrastructure are quite backward there.
Or Join nit Calicut ece if you are interested in ece branch but one thing is for sure that ece is not an easy branch specially in NIT Calicut, if you don't like electronics then think 10 times before choosing nit Calicut ece.
I hope this answer will help, all the best for the future!!
We are having good lab facilities, xerox shops, but in hostel canteen facilities are not there. There are canteens in campus, but inside hostel, canteen facility is nill.stationary, xerox facility is there , also study rooms, common room facility is good. But wifi may trouble sometimes ????
One of the largest engineering colleges in Kerala build a long time back standing out in infrastructure and a large campus. Classrooms are big enough to accommodate the large population of students, especially the first year classrooms, seminar halls and auditoriums are the finest. Regular maintainance of living spaces keeps it clean and tidy. Food is good offering us to try a very vast variety of cuisines across India all in one place.
There is not a single facility or infrastructure that I cannot find in the campus. Well equipped and well maintained. No issues with hostel food or hostel services or anything of the sort. Wifi available in almost every spot.
