Helllo Kamal,
NIT Trichy has got good future scope and placements
I feel NIT Trichy , industrial safety Engineering is better compared to the other
Depending on the review by the students in Trichy I can say that , lecturers give you the best practical knowledge which indeed strives for the improvement of the student.
Humble suggestion is check again through the website of nit Trichy ,you would feel it statisfying and then decide so as to join where.
Good luck
Thank you
Greetings Kamal!
Hope you're doing great.
The two stream which you have mention Machine Design and Industrial Engineering Management are both have decent job opportunities according to the current market. Let's directly compare the courses offered by both the colleges.
Machine Design at NIT Calicut: The next big thing in the campus after CSE/IT students is Mechanical branch. The faculty is very responsive and organise guest faculties from industrial experience. The college curriculum is top notch and extracurricular activities take place on a regular basis.
Eligibility: Mandatory Courses: B.Arch, B.E. / B.Tech, The candidate must have passed B.Tech./ B.E./ B.Arch. from recognized institute or university with the above-mentioned eligibility.
Infrastructure: It is a well-established college. Hence, it has very nice infrastructure for each department. Being the Institute of National Importance, funds come regularly to improve the facilities within the campus. We have a nice swimming pool. Sports grounds are also well-maintained.
Placements: For M.Tech mechanical are very poor. Only 10-13 students got placed in our batch and no one in the core industry. People got placed in coding companies and in teaching fields. Placements for B.Tech mechanical is around 60-70%. Placements for coding branches is more than 100% for all M.Tech, MCA and B.Tech degrees.
Industrial Engineering and Management at NIT Trichy: The quality of education offered at all the NITs is more or less similar. However, the teaching faculty att NIT Trichy for Industrial Management course is of par excellence.
Infrastructure: The college has the old infrastructure as well as the newly developed infrastructure. The classrooms are nice with new facilities. The library gives exposure to a wide range of sources.
Placements: You can sit for almost all companies which open up for Mechanical/Production specializations. Apart from that, placements come for Management related profiles exclusively for IEM. Data/Business Analytics, Simulation, Supply Chain are some core IE profiles which do open only for IEM. Overall the placement is quite nice. The highest and the lowest salary package offered are 9 LPA and 4 LPA. The internships are also offered and the stipend offered is about Rs. 20,000 to 30,000 per month. We have the placement cell, and it helps the students a lot.
Hope this will clear out things. Do reach out in the comment section below if you need any help.
All the best!
Hii Praveen
Congrats for scoring such a good score,it is indeed a very good score but iam sorry to tell you that it is not possible for you to get B.Arch in NIT calicut with this score as the cutoffs in NIT Calicut for B.Arch is really very high but since your score is really great you have a very high chance of getting other colleges of Architecture. So do not get disappointed and try other colleges.
All the Best!
Thank You
Hello Akhilan,
NIT Calicut is one of the best NITs of India. As you mentioned, your percentile and category rank, based on previous year cut-offs, there are little to no chances that you will get this college.
Please go through the below link to find the year wise and branch wise cut-off of this institute.
https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-nit-calicut
As you can see: your rank should be around 2k for getting this institute(based on previous year records).
You may go for other NITs, which have a low cut-off such as that of North-Eastern NITs, as they generally have a high cut-off.
Hope this Helps
Regards.
Hello Sir/Ma'am. Both are universities are very good in terms of education, placements, campus life, and infrastructure. Integrated M. Tech has an advantage as well as a disadvantage. If you have decided that you are going to pursue M. Tech only then integrated course is good but if you think that you can also pursue other streams like MBA then only CSE program is good for you.
Hello,
With a CRL rank of 28722 in JEE mains you might not be able to get a chemical engineering seat in National Institute of Technology Calicut. You can only get a Biotechnology Engineering seat in NIT Calicut. Since EWS Category is new making predictions on its basis is not feasible. But you can get Chemical Engineering in following NITs:

NIT Calicut has outstanding infrastructure that fully supports academic and personal development. The classrooms are spacious and equipped with modern teaching aids. The laboratories are well-maintained, advanced, and updated with the latest equipment. The central library is vast, with an excellent collection of books, journals, and digital resources. We are having good lab facilities, xerox shops, but in hostel canteen facilities are not there. There are canteens in campus, but inside hostel, canteen facility is nill.stationary, xerox facility is there , also study rooms, common room facility is good. But wifi may trouble sometimes ????
