NIT Calicut is one of the leading instution of India. The competition here is intense. So the cutoff for B.Arch/B.planning closes below 1500 rank. It is the same case with state quota students.

NIT TRICHY EEE
NIT TRICHY ECE
NIT TRICHY MECHANICAL
NIT TRICHY CIVIL, CHEMICAL, PRODUCTION AND INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING, INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL ENGINEERING.

and you can get into any of the branch of NIT CALICUT.

Yes, you will get NIT Calicut very easily with the rank that you have obtained under OBC category and also with the home state. As per the previous year cutoffs you have the chance to choose the subject of your own choice. You canyourself check the cutoffs using careers360 portal

Congratulation to you for securing such a good rank in jee main. Since you have secured 4800 OBC-ncl rank . You may get a seat for electrical and electronics engineering but not for mechanical engineering in NIT Calicut if you are lying under home state quota.

As per your rank and previous year cutoff, the colleges you get are:-

IIIT Bhopal

IIIT Bhubaneshwar

IIIT Pune(ECE,CSE,IT branch)

It is difficult to get NIT Calicut with this rank.

If this is your OBC category rank then, i am sorry to tell you that you have very low chances of getting admission in any of the NITs or IIITs based on your jee mains category rank.
Try for admission in private colleges through state counselling.

College Infrastructure

NIT Calicut has outstanding infrastructure that fully supports academic and personal development. The classrooms are spacious and equipped with modern teaching aids. The laboratories are well-maintained, advanced, and updated with the latest equipment. The central library is vast, with an excellent collection of books, journals, and digital resources. Wi-Fi is available across the campus, including in hostels, ensuring uninterrupted access to learning materials.

Giving review on my college is a good experience.

College Infrastructure

We are having good lab facilities,xerox shops, but in hostel canteen facilities are not there. There are canteens in campus,but inside hostel,canteen facility is nill.stationary, xerox facility is there , also study rooms, common room facility is good. But wifi may trouble sometimes ????

It was life changing to be here in the first place.

One of the largest engineering colleges in Kerala build a long time back standing out in infrastructure and a large campus. Classrooms are big enough to accommodate the large population of students, especially the first year classrooms, seminar halls and auditoriums are the finest. Regular maintainance of living spaces keeps it clean and tidy. Food is good offering us to try a very vast variety of cuisines across India all in one place.
