There are many opportunities after B.tech biotechnology as this is a rapidly growing sector. You can have more scope in government as well as private sectors. This is as follows - 

Pharmaceutical industry

healthcare sector

Chemical industry,

agricultural sector

Food processing and technology

The graduates who complete M.tech/M.E. can opt for working as a lecturer.

The annual income can be from 2.5  to 6 lakhs per annum

But what you are saying is impossible. How can you get a seat in NIT Calicut , with such a low rank. 

You are saying that you have 25668 category rank (obc-ncl) and yet you want to go to nit Calicut. 

This won't happen. You should probably go for some lower NIT's or lower IIIT's . There you might get a seat. That also is not confirmed. 

Why don't you visit josaa website and see previous year closing rank for different colleges. You might get an idea what you have to do.

I see that you want to do B.arch from nit Calicut or not Trichy , whichever you get. You belong to sc category and being home State , it will be easier for you to get admission in nit Calicut. 

If I see previous year closing rank , which was around 600 in round 7. So it is possible that you will get a seat in NIT Calicut till round 6. 

But for nit Trichy your rank is too high to get admission in it. 

So you will be going in nit Calicut.

I see that you want to do architecture from top colleges , but considering the rank which you got in jee mains paper 2, which is above 8000 rank , although you are an obc candidate ,still it's too much for getting into the top colleges.

What i see is that you won't get any nit with this rank . Sorry for that.

    Firstly, congratulations and I'm here to help you regarding your query !!

Firstly, here the placement is good for only specific streams being CSE and IS. Very few companies allow students to attend the placement and undergraduate also have the same. It has good academic records and faculty members who are friendly. The average salary has been around 7 Lakh per annum that if you are a CSE or an IT student. So in masters of engineering, machine design is neither good nor bad and is moderate here. In the past few years, only 35-45% of the students had the placement opportunities and got placed. So, be patient and step further.
