See the percentile u have secured is too low for u to bag a set in the good colleges like NITs , IIITs and GFTIs for pursuing ur higher studies in the field of ur interest under btech courses. Congratulation to you for obtaining such a good marks. Your expected percentile would be almost 97.40 and corresponding  common list rank would be almost 26000 and obc-ncl rank would be almost 6200.

You will  get a seat for civil engineering in NIT Calicut but not for mechanical engineering.

Hii!! Abhin. First of all I would like to congratulate you for your jee marks . According to your marks your expected rank may between 18000-22000. According to your rank I don't think you could enter into NIT Calicut at your round one . But I think you could try in round 3 or 4 as of your home state quota would be a little help for you to get into NIT. I wish you good luck for entering into NIT. I hope you could really acheive your dream. ALL THE BEST!!!

Sorry to say, but there is a feeble chance of geeting a seat in NIT, Calicut at this percentile.

NIT, Calicut is a prestigious college and you have to secure a rank within 1 Lakh for SC category student , to get a seat in that college.

Better to check out some other new NITs ,they are also very good or you can wait for your next chance in JEE Mains.

Congrats for your result.

Predicting the chances of admission through gate depends on various factors like the total number of candidates appearing in gate,difficulty level of the exam etc

But you can check the cutoff of previous years to get an idea .Sometimes the trend is same.

Last year the opening score for high voltage engineering was 408 and the closing score was 345.

That means you have chances.

Yes you can. However, you may not get yout choice of branch, depending on whether you are Home State, Other State, reservation category etc.

Your score should be good enough for any branch apart from CSE, ECE and Mechanical (assuming you belong to general category). If you are from reserved category, or did your 12th in Kerala, then you may be eligibe to get into these branches also. You can refer to previous year cut-off ranks for more insights. My guess is your rank will be around 10k region, but you can never be sure.
