Hope you are doing well. As per your query BIT Mesra All India ranking was 33 whereas NIT Jamshedpur ranked 79. Both the colleges are very renowned and good colleges. The faculties of the both the colleges are top notch. Now coming to placements BIT mesra has amazing campus placements. Almost 80% students got placed with the highest package of 40.63 LPA and an average package of 10 LPA. Many MNCs come for campus placements as well as core companies. NIT Jamshedpur also offered decent placements to their students. Almost 70% students were placed with great package. The highest being 39 LPA with the average package being 8 LPA. BIT mesra will be a good choice if compared with NIT jamshedpur as the placements are better there for ECE. Also if you want to give NIT a chance you will be saving money due to their fees structure. Since both the displayed colleges hold a good position across the country. If you compare among both of these in EEE DEPARTMENT wise then i think BIT Mesra holds a good position in all aspects point of view including placement  / campus life etc. BIT holds a good placement records with an average package of 4.5 to 5.5 lakh per annum in EEE stream  eventhough the campus life at BIT Mesra is also awesome which doesn't makes you fee bored. So i think you should go with the BIT Mesra rather than just the NIT tag.

NIT Jamshedpur is lot better than NIT surat as Since , NIT Jamshedpur is one of the oldest colleges in the city, placements are really good. Almost most of the students get placements easily. NIT Jamshedpur has an overall satisfactory infrastructure and hostels are excellent and the new academic block is also under construction. The teaching and teachers are good and the campus is really peaceful. So overall I would recommend you NIT Jamshedpur.

Cse and ece are the top branches.both have the same preference and same competition.in both the nits cse and ece have equal preference .in present ece competition is growing .in any of them you can join .both are same so you can join in which you are interested

Before I give my answer, you should keep something in mind that this is just my opinion.  Each NIT is relatively the same in comparison to the others, the differences are tiny. However, In terms of placement, NIT Kurukshetra has a better track record than NIT Jamshedpur.

BITS hyderabad is one of the top colleges in India where you have an amazing college life, gain a lot of exposure and much more when compared to other NITs. If you are able to afford BITS , then surely go for it and also BITS offers scholarships to merit students which will be helpful in paying your fees.You have very good job offers and campus life in BITS.

Dear student,

As you are from Jharkhand then it's better that you choose or give priority to NIT Jamshedpur first in jossa counseling.
Because NIT Jamshedpur is a government college and is much better than BIT Mesra.
Now if you want to arrange among electrical engineering and electronics and communication engineering in NIT Jamshedpur, then arrange electrical engineering first in NIT Jamshedpur and after choose Electronics and Communication engineering in NIT Jamshedpur.
And always try to give less priority to the private colleges and lastly select the electronics and communication engineering in BIT Mesra.
So, in jossa counseling your preference order must be government colleges to private colleges.
