The infrastructure is really very good. Lecture halls are fully air conditioned. The hostels are good enough. Full campus is covered under Wi-Fi. Labs are good having the required equipment. The library is one of the best, accessible 24*7.
Teachers are really focused. Course curriculum is completed on time. There are lectures, tutorials and practicals for different subjects. Overall teachers are really very helpful and academics are good here.
Placements at Thapar have been good. If you are good enough you can easily get placed. Lot of companies including Microsoft, JP Morgan, Samsung, D Shaw, Arcesium and many more come every year for placements.
The infrastructure is quite unique and stands out in all comparison standards. All the classrooms are spacious and has all basic amenities along with projectors and CCTV cameras. The sports centers are nice , big and well maintained .
The academics is very well structured. The faculty are helpful and conduct doubt-clearing classes every week. They take the efforts to teach everyone and make sure everyone are on the same page. It is sufficient for normal jobs but for the top notch companies you need to focus on some other stuff.
Thapar is known for its placement. The average package offered per annum is 6 -7 lakhs. Around 90-92% students are placed every year. The highest salary goes up to 20-30 lakhs per annum. Few of the companies which come for placements are Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Infosys, etc.
My overall fees per semester is 1.30-1.40 lakhs and it is very worthy because of the things they give in return like campus infrastructure, sports centers, classrooms , hostels ,etc.
The infrastructure is really good. The lectures halls are fully A.C. The hostel are good enough proving wi-fi facility at reasonable speeds. The food qualuty would be 7/10.The labs are good having the required equipment. The library is one of the best thing at Thapar, you can visit it anytime and study .
For the academics teachers are really focused. They complete the course on time and will give you the practical knowledge also. Their are seperate teachers for the question solving part which are pretty good.
The placements were once very good at Thapar but from the past few years there is little downfall in them . But if you are good enough you can easily get placed. Lots of companies such as microsoft, jp morgan , IBM and many more visit the campus every year.
The course will cost you around 5 Lakhs per year. If you want your money to be worth work really hard and score a good placement otherwise it will be wasted because the college will provide you many oppertunities so grab them.
The campus life is basically fun . Students hang out at various places, my favourite ones are :- Open Air Theatre and Jaggi . Their are a lot of events when you get admiited you will enjoy them the most.
All the infrastructure facilities are very good. Facilities like Wi-Fi, a new library, free medical dispensary for students and synthetic courts for various games are available. Classrooms and labs are properly maintained with the best equipment. Some hostels are good infrastructural wise, and some are not good. Food served in the hostel is good and eatable.
Teachers are helpful and qualified. Teaching quality is also good. Teachers use various audio-visual aids. In class students, to faculty ratio is 90:1 and in labs 22:1. Industrial exposure is not much provided, but practical labs are enough to gain practical knowledge. There are also six months time given to the course for internships.

Thapar has always been among the top colleges in india and percentage of placements is always very good. I don’t have the specific data about the packages offered to students. But the process is easy and teachers help is always there.
The infrastructure of the uni is very good as compared to other colleges I visited with the exception of 1st year hostels which are under renovation and will eventually become world class. The food in most of the hostels are good enough but the whole College is vegetarian.
The attendance required is 75 which is quite a lot but the teachers allow some room for error. The labs are also very practical which makes holistic development of the student appropriate to the current situation of the world.
Seeing the record of my seniors I can easily say most of the top companies come here and hire quite a lot of students. Companies like TCS and Microsoft mass recruit students from our college making it very easy to get placed.
The tuition fee and hostel fee is little on the higher side but to be honest I think its worth it because of the amenities they provide and the overall environment in the College is very well maintained.
The campus life I think is the best thing about our college and the activities here are in abundance. The societies and the sports are a lot plus the fests and events happening everyday is a very exciting thing.
So in all honesty I really think this is a very good College if you are very interested in the overall development of yourself. This college although a bit expensive is well worth it and I really think it is one of the best private colleges in India.
Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology has all the necessary infrastructure , facilities which is needed by students ranging from basketball court to swimming pool from food outlets to health center you name it and you'll find it.
