No
Thapar has amazing infrastructure with such a clean and beautiful campus The library is one of the best of thapar. our classrooms are equipped with class Technology There is everything present in campus like saloon, markets ,laundry and hospital
Highly qualified professors All our professors hold doctorate degree. Our academic is classified into lecture ,tutorial and laboratory classes There is continuous evaluation throughout the year overall academics are amazing
Placements are amazing Many big companies comes for placements placements are great. All the big companies come here like amazon, apple ,Microsoft,DE shaw , JP Morgan all the big companies hire students from thapar
It is an expensive college but worth it
Thapar have a very good infrastructure with various labs, machines and Electronics equipment. Its library is also quite large where you can find many books and can quitely read with ambient atmosphere.
The academics of TIET is pretty good and I also like the credit structure for the subjects. Professors have very good knowledge in their fields and are everytime available to the students for their doubts etc.
The placement for COE, COPC, CSBS, ENC, ECE, is quite good, but overall placement (including core branches) was quite low which is the scenario for mostly colleges. And with having 800+ students in computer oriented branch it also make quite competitive to get placement.
Being a private college it has pretty huge fee structure, the overall value for money decreases. But Thapar have many scholarship opportunities based on your academic performance, family background, etc.
Thapar having a huge campus size and many sports facilities, students are quite happy with campus life. Thapar have different hostels which gives different experience to everyone. Their are markets like cos complex where you can buy all your daily needs
College has all the necessary infrastructure and facilities. The classrooms are well equipped, laboratories are good too. The sports center has all equipments. The hostels are good. The food is like it is in every other hostel.
I am doing BE Electronic and instrumentation because of its future scope in the industry. Teaching is overall OK. The curriculum covers all the topics and are up to date with all the recent developments.
The placement have been good as said by the University. They show placements to be over 90%. And it may be true because everyone gets placed whether its one to one recruitment or mass recruitment. College has a placement cell for it.
The course is quite costly which is difficult for everyone to afford. It's around 18 lacs (approx) for my whole degree. I would only know the worth once i get placed. And all the private institutions have such high fees
College life was good untill covid happened and we had to sit at homes for rest of our degree. Campus itself has everything in it so the student need not go anywhere. But uk as it is in Patiala so who can stay in campus.
The architecture is a thing to vouch for when in Thapar. The hostel facilities are excellent and food prepared is hygienic and wholesome. The academic block for the Computer Science department also has amazing architecture. The lecture halls have a charm of their own and you wish to learn more sitting there.
The curriculum is fairly good till now, teachers are good as well. Except a few faculty, which I'm sure every institution has a variety, rest all are really good in their fields. The subjects in the first year are mainly general though.
As far as the Computer Science stream is considered there's almost 100% placement and a variety of companies like Goldman Sachs, Google, ISRO etc. to name a few. The highest CTC this year has been 43 LPA and the average salary being 6-7 LPA.
Since till now we're online, we haven't been able to utilise the college's facilities anyways and studies have been compromised too, so can't say much, but once we get to offline studies I'm sure it'll be worth it.
Due to Covid, we have got only one month on the campus so far and it has been nothing less than amazing. The campus is so safe and has a different vibe altogether.
The infrastructure is absolutely amazing with the college providing the best of the best quality in every aspect. The college takes care of stay, sports, recreation, shopping and everything with the Infrastructure it provides
The academics in the college is amazing with teachers being available 24x7 for our help. The topics covered are well explained and they also provide us with a soft copy of the topics so that we can use it for later use
The quality of placements have been outstanding with companies like intel, ibm, microsoft etc coming for placements and providing amazing ctf. The college also provides exiting internships in companies like microsoft
Infrastructure is quite modern, the library and lecture theaters are outstanding, with beautiful architecture. Every lecture room has smart class and are air conditioned. The hostels are quite hygienic.
I am currently studying computer engineering, as it is said to be the pinnacle of the future. The professors are well versed in their subjects. The research facilities provided in the laboratories are excellent.
The quality of placements is excellent, every year about 90% students get placed into great companies that offer amazing packages. The highest package was offered to a student of the computer science branch, it was about 40 lacs per annum.
All the labs required for the course are present. Labs and classes are well maintained and hygienic. Proper wifi connectivity with the smart board is present in both labs and classes. Canteens and eating spaces are hygienic.
ME CAD CAM is the course I have selected. The curriculum helps in dealing with the latest innovation and suited for the CAD-CAM course. Quality of teaching is good with proper communication between students and teachers.
In covid times placement is less compared to previous years and salary varies mostly on students. Previously placement was on the higher side and one can always opt for research work as facilities are available.
Fees is almost 2 lacs per year but worth it with scholarship.
social activities are in abundance and staff are very helpful in nature.
It's good and beauty of campus gives postive vibes. Campus infrastructure like classroom, labs, hostel facilities, canteens.....all are well designed as per the need. Quality of food is very good and tasty specially hygienic.
I m in civil engineering department amazing. department.Teacher's of this department are amazing and helpful. Max. Lab work in the field is a part of study. This thing helps mee in my job and experience great knowledge.
Placement not sooo good for each department. Like mostly IT companies are visted for Placement. This make students from other department worried for their future and this problem is the major issue as per my opinion.
Currently I am in 3rd years that means 3 years of my personal experience in college, in terms of infrastructures it is pretty good most amazing is Library when a person goes there it seems like different world ,hostels are hygienic and in terms of food it is hygienic but it can be improved more, classrooms are quite good new technologies are used in classrooms, laboratories has all necessities which are required well sports are also there colleges plans competitions with different colleges .
in terms of academics I am quite impressed, because there is smart work teachers are quite helpful whenever needed they are there always guide on each step ,curriculum is up to date it include all recent developments in which helps us what is around in world and boost us and motivate us and this all things make us ready for job or future.
placements of our college is good, many companies visit in our campus for placements, Highest Package is offer In IT sectors and according to my knowledge highest package was 50 lpa ,average package is around 8-9lpa which is quite decent, talking about average students placements its near about 50-60% this should be improved ,talking about placement process we can't say easy its challenging and yes college is supportive at each step for placement helps and motivate us.
talking about cost I personally think it is high because its a private Engineering college and cost of per year is near about 4-5 lakhs which I think is high , seeing placements and all other good factors like facilities and quality study I think money is worth if a person really wants to make money value he/she can its not a big deal.
our campus is situated in patiala ,so it's location is to charming, it is safe as it is near all government employees are so security is high and so its safe and talking about campus life it is fun you can explore many things enjoying with friends ,taking parts in college fests, taking part In college societies and most enjoyable thing is hostel life its really enjoyableit never feel like you are away from family and most of teachers and staff are helpful and in emergencies there is mini hospital
at last I would say college is the one of the most crucial and enjoyable part of journey of our life so everyone should definitely experience this once because there is only one life and having experience of college Give us so much memories, taught us many things, make us mature and more smart
A rank above 50,000 is considered good in JEE Mains. Some of the private colleges accepting JEE Mains are
