Thapar college is known for his infrastructure . Thapar college is best in Punjab after pec. Thapar college is have fully air conditioned library and classroom . food quality is not good at all. but food is hygienic for us.
academic of Thapar college not good . Teachers follow a strict 75 percentage attendance policy . if you are unable to fulfills the 75 percent attendance then you had face trouble during your exams. so this worst thing of college.
placement cell work properly but student intake in Thapar college is much high due to this return of investment is low for Thapar college. fees of thapar college is about 5 lakh per year so it is about 25 lakhs for 4 year.
ROI of the college is not good.
please do not prefer if you have finical condition .
College is good. It provides various types of facilities to student such as wifi, fresh drinking water etc. It has a centrally air - conditioned library also which is open until 8 pm all days. Labs are also well equipped.
Academic of thapar University is ok not so good. Some Teacher have rude behaviour also. 75% attendance policy is strictly followed by campus. Teacher come in classes and go back without any interaction between students. In my opinion quality of teaching is low
Placement is good. Approx average placement for cse is 11 Lpa. But fees for computer science and engineering is approx 25 lakhs due to which ROI is low. Id you can afford it you are most welcome other wise no.
ROI of college is low .
College is good for students who scored low in jee mains
College has good comfortable environment and classes. They have a huge library with four floors and big smart screens in all classrooms. Lab infrastructure is also top quality. Regarding infrastructure, this is one of the best colleges.
Academics is good, exams can be hectic but over all classes are comfortable and enjoyable. The teachers are very experienced and are very good in there respecfive fields. Overall it's good but still some improvements are expected.
Heard that placements are decent if you have the right skills and put in effort. Since the admission rate of students in increasing so is the competition in placements and cgpa. The roi might also decrease because of this but as of now it is good.
Fees is on the higher side and also increasing every year.
Campus life is great with tons of extra carriculae facilities available. Senior's are also very helpful and friendly.
The college infrastructure is very good we have all the facilities we needed our library is also very good and the librarian was very polite and humble our college has a big ground where we have a huge space to play and the environment of college is very good. Thank you
I am studying B.E the quality of teachers are expressing the curriculum is always updated as per the new guidelines the college give us good placements all the teachers are very cooperative and supportive they motivate us alot in our ups and downs
The quality of placements is very good even the average percentage students get placed the salary packages are very high the placement process is not much difficult this is a pleasant for us in any difficulty the collage teachers and all helps us alot they are very supportive
The fees of course is also good the money is getting worthy as per the job salary
The campus is very good they have best features the college provide many facilities to students the teachers and staff are very supportive which is very impressive the location area was very good it is safe even for girls it handle emergencies immediately
Nothing was like to add everything was good
Good Infrastructure and appropriate for an engineering college. Students were allowed to use all the infrastructural resources for educational needs and benefit as much as they can so they can learn things practically
The faculties here had extensive knowledge of the subject that they were teaching. this helped us a lot as a student and perform well in the academic tests. The insights faculties gave us during the lectures were amazing.
As far as placements is concerned, The college provide the average placements assistance. Good number of companies comes with the entry-level position. But the roles doesn't matches with the academic interests of students sometimes
Wi-Fi is average in this college. Laboratory is also very good quality with computers. Classrooms are well-maintained. The library has many books. The quality of the hostel is good as compared to other colleges. The food quality is also better.
Our college have a good academics record with wide range of subjects are available here study.I have completed my bachelor's degree in engineering with specialization in chemical engineering from here and I must say that all the facilities are best.
Our college has excellent placements. Every student of B.Tech and IT is placed with a good salary package. Almost all students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 30 LPA and the average salary package offered is 8 LPA.
All the staff are helpful
My experience is pretty good till now . Made great friends here and learnt lot of new things and skills. Campus life is pretty good. Infrastructure is top of the notch and faculty is also top class. Academic life is also pretty decent.
Academic curriculum is also nice and covers almost all the skills you need to be industry ready but you have to learn a lot of things yourself and constantly take guidance from seniors and faculty members
about 70 percent off the batch got placed this year. companies like apple , JPMC have visited the college. You just need the right skills and dedication. Competition is very high. Batch size for computer exceeds 1000
ROI is very high. You can get a great placement from here
Great infrastructure and balanced life
Thapar institute of engineering and technology patiala have well developed infrastructure equipped with all the latest facilities like wifi equipped campus, library, auditorium and hostel for both boys and girls.
I have done my BE electrical engineering. And my experienced all the teachers are good and experienced. They follow latest activities and updated curriculum like seventh semester project and last sem industrial training.
Our institute overall placements are good. Many companies are visited our institute for placements and average annual package offering by companies is five to six lakhs per annum and most of students have got placements.
The college is very well maintained, it's very spacious, everything gets renovated after a few years, some of the newer blocks have A/C, the new buildings are of international quality, there is a huge amount of investment in the latest equipment like IMAC, sanitation wise the college is gr8 as well. i think Thapar is one of the best colleges in India with the latest and most amazing infrastructure and also challenging international colleges in some aspect
Thapar follows the same pattern as the IIT curriculum does, some of the professors are excellent, provide great guidance, and have a tremendous amount of knowledge but some are only par, the quality of assessments can be good as well, and students are more and more trying to learn from youtube and other education platforms and so the professors only teach from slides to teach faster which can be improved
placements every year can be hit or miss, in my year the placements were very good with everyone getting placed and some getting multiple packages as well, but recently markets have recalibrated after covid leading to layoffs, firing, and non-hiring of freshers which has impacted placements not only in thapar but other colleges as well. I have seen students not getting placed after college as well which is sad.
recently college fees have been increased which is making it only for rich parents affordability, so the value for money is decreasing
campus life is awesome, hostel rooms are terrific, they need to work on sports equipment more, like badminton and cricket
I would say the crowd at Thapar is also increasing every year, this happens in private colleges, the fees crossing 5L every year is something everyone needs to plan before taking in admission, and is that someone wants to invest in?
Good infrastructure, ac in most buildings, very green. Everything is well maintained. Hostels are good and clean. Food is above average. A lot of places to hang out. Beautiful parks and gardens every where
Teachers are good but might nit pay individual attention. Most of the studies are done on our own. It's easy to pass exams , marking not very tough. It's easy to maintain cg above 8 even if you study last minute
Median package is good and most people get placed in computers. But recession might be a problem. Bare minimum preparation is made available for placements by college, you have to study on your own only
A rank above 50,000 is considered good in JEE Mains. Some of the private colleges accepting JEE Mains are
Dear aspirant,

With a Class 12 board score of 86% in 2024, your son meets the board-based eligibility for B.Tech CSE at Thapar University—but there’s one important detail. Thapar conducts admissions via two modes: one uses JEE Main scores (50% seats) and the other uses Class 12 PCM marks (50% seats). However,
