Dear aspirant,
Well, for placements, a B.Tech in IT/CSE from VIT Chennai is often considered a better option for placements than a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Thapar. While Thapar has a good reputation, VIT Chennai's strong placement record in IT/CSE, especially with higher packages, often makes it a more better choice for students pursuing these fields.
Thank you.
Dear Aspirant,
With a VITMEE rank of 1598, you have a very strong chance of getting admission into the M.Tech Biotechnology program at VIT, particularly at the Vellore campus. In previous years, the closing rank for this program has gone as high as 20,000, which places your rank well within the safe range. VIT does give some preference to GATE-qualified candidates, but even without a GATE score, your VITMEE rank alone is good enough for Biotechnology. Many candidates with ranks even higher than yours have secured admission in this program. As long as you meet the basic eligibility criteria, such as having the required percentage in your undergraduate degree and submitting the necessary documents during counselling, your chances are excellent. Make sure to participate in the counselling process, select Biotechnology as your top choice, and stay updated on important dates. Overall, your chances of admission are very promising.
Best of Luck
Dear Aspirant,
With a VITMEE rank of 1010, your chances of securing admission in VLSI at VIT Vellore under Category 1 are quite strong. The expected cutoff for VLSI in Category 1 is generally around 10,000 or higher, so your rank comfortably falls within the safe zone. However, when it comes to Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), the competition is much stiffer. The typical Category 1 cutoff for core CSE at VIT Vellore is usually within the top 500–550 ranks. Since your rank is 1010, getting CSE under Category 1 is quite unlikely unless there are significant withdrawals or changes during the counseling process. You may, however, have a chance at getting into specialized CSE branches such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or Cybersecurity, where the cutoff tends to be slightly more relaxed, often ranging from 600 to 1500. It is advisable to prioritize VLSI in your counseling choices while also applying for other CSE specializations. Additionally, keeping an eye on Category 2 and 3 rounds could open up further opportunities, especially if seats are left vacant or higher-category students drop out. Overall, VLSI seems like a solid option at your rank, while CSE may require a bit of flexibility or a backup plan.
