Talking about the infrastructure, we have buildings with 8 floors for academis and 15 floors for hostel. The thing is that we lack amount of lift for the population there. Bt other aspects are good. They also have exelent sports facility
Academis are too good and the professors are very very helpful. The make shure that every one in the class gets good exposure. They try the maximum to give us hands on training on the theory subjects we study.
The quality of placements are good. But for M Tech students mostly we get offered through the reference of our professors and not through the placement office. The average placement is about 5 laksh and the maximum goes way upto 20lakhs
For M tech, we have only category one and category two. Category one payment is 1.5 lakhdar and category two is 2.5 lakhs. We get enough stuff for the money we pay. But its in the students hand to utilise all the money he has spent on the college
Campus life is a little bore. As m tech students have already dont b tech in other college, they dont see things very engaging here. The clubs are not upto the mark. The event management skills are very poor to the students. There is no bond between students. Senior junior bond is also not there.
When it comes to education, it is outstanding. One can get good exposure. When it comes to culture, it's very poor. The students community in the college should co coordinate to bring a unity amount the students themselves.
One of the best places to do your undergraduation. The campus is Beautifully built with vast infrastructure. Labs, swimming pools, restaurants everything is available within the campus. Life inside VIT is a very different experience.
Challenging and interesting. The academic structure makes sure to bring the best in you. The curriculum is well updated new courses are introduced from time to time. Im doing my mechanical engineering and im very happy with the kind of resources they provide.
I don't have lot of idea about placements. Im planning to do my master's so i don't really care about placements. However I've heard that VIT makes sure that all of its students are successfully places somewhere or the other
Satisfactory
College life is beautiful at VIT
I don't regret my decision to join VIT at all. I enjoy every moment of my college life and i also make use of all the opportunities they provide me with.
Vit boasts of its well-planned and comprehensive infrastructure provided for both students and faculty. It is totally a ' kingdom of Dreams ' for a person like me who instances of disruptive psychology, can easily manage to overcome that by just walking around the lush green campus.
I'm a first year student studying B.Tech EEE. It depends on the way you take your life at University. You need to make your opportunities at the campus and the campus supports if your good enough. There are many clubs and chapters in VIT with which you can improve a lot really if you are that interested. It has fully flexible system (FFCS) with which you can design your schedule. If you are really interested in making something out of yourselves VIT provides very good opportunities.
The college assures 100% placements. A lots of companies visit the campus for placements. This year almost 8 students got placed in Microsoft with a salary package of 39 LPA. For EEE and ECE, companies such as Qualcomm,Intel, etc., visit the campus for placements and the highest salary offers was around 14 LPA. I hope I will also get placements like this.
For me it is around 1.73 lakhs per annum only for academics and for hostel is 1.2 something. Atlast the approximate fees will be 3 to 4 lakhs and for four years it will be 13 to 15 lakhs. Yes, this amount is pretty high. But if we study well and work hard then it is quite worthy. So if you are ready to put your effort the you can spend that much money.
Vellore Institute of Technology, popularly called VIT UNIVERSITY, is a dream destination for engineering aspirants but not for me. I aspired for IIT Chennai campus but I didn't scored that much to get into IIT but I got seats in IIT in North India so I regrets it. Finally I joined VIT. The Campus Life at VIT is one of its kind. Modern library, unique engaging clubs, different mess for specialized food, natural aesthetics, and a lot more is appreciated by its students. It's quite good.
VIT Chennai has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. Our classrooms are well ventilated and equiped. Laboratories are well organised and air conditioned as well as the library. The library has only one problem there are not enough amount of a particular book. Important books are not available to everyone as they get issued very quickly. Sports room have the equipments but are not available all the time.hostels are good with good wifi but in time for girls is very early.
I am study electronics and communication engineering because it's one of my interests.quality of teaching is better than other colleges but we still have to use internet for some difficult subjects. I am in first year so I haven't studied major important subjects. But they usually focus more on exams and less on practical applications. Grading is relative and we are already tired of giving so may examinations.
I am in first year so I can't say much about the placements. But according to some seniors, they have been placed well and the internship opportunities are plenty. I myself successfully completed an internship in first year itself. Which is quite helpful in placement.
I am from category 1 so including all the facilities it costs me 3 lakhs per year. I think if you are from category 1 or 2 it's worth it because placement is good. If you enter the college you will not just be punished but you'll also have to pay fine on every mistake of yours. There is always a way of extracting money from their students in this college.
My college life has been fine till now. It's best feature is that we've got some famous brands in our college like Domino's, chai galli, lassi house, aavins etc so there's never a shortage of hangout places. Campus is clean and very safe and good at handeling emergencies. Students and specially seniors are very good and easygoing. There is absolutely no ragging. Not even in hostels. Worst feature is that we are not given as much freedom. In time for girls is early. Its located near the city.
VIT is good but the freedom for girls is very less. In time is early and we cannot go out easily. There are much more procedures for us than the boys and it becomes frustrating sometimes. But my mother is always happy.
There are 2 main academic blocks, A library, A big canteen which has AC and Non AC seating. The third academic block is under construction and will be available soon. The academic blocks are equipped with adequate amount of lifts to help with the logistics of students and faculties.
The college has a credit system and one has to finish 160 credits in order to finish a degree. A course can have components of Theory, Lab, Tutorial and Project. Each course has a weight age of 1 to 4 credits.
Many Organizations come for placement. Many students get placed in dream and even in super dream package. Most of the students that belong in the following branches : ECE,CSE,ECM get placed in good and stable organizations.
I Paid 1,60,000 per year for the academic fee alone. Which comes under the first category of fees.
VIT, Vellore is a wonderful college in terms of its infrastructure. With a great campus of 372 acres, it covers almost everything and anything. Football field, cricket field, gymnasium, basketball courts and what not. WiFi network here is amazing as well. Smart classes are also present along with well maintained laboratories. Hostel is very clean and food available is hygienic.
Teachers take good care of students. Every doubt is well resolved in class or later in staff rooms. The teachers are well approachable at any time during their stay. However, the curriculum is not a well updated one, this is a problem where we don't get enough exposure.
Placement in VIT is awesome. Almost everyone gets a job by the end of the placement season and average package ranges from 4.5-6 lpa, with highest package touching to as high as 36 lpa. The college is also very supportive in terms of placement. They teach you the relevant skills before the beginning of placement season and are helpful throughout the process.
Tution fees, here in VIT varies in terms of categories. For category 1 it is 1.98 lpa while for category 2 it ranges to 3.07 lpa. There is also provision for category 3 where it shoots up to 4.1lpa. So, definitely getting here in category 1 or at most 2 may be considered. Nothing beyond that.
Campus life is not as entertaining as it seems from outside. Although, fests and all are present, there are strict rules related to interaction between girls and boys. You hardly get to enjoy your college life as most of the time you find yourself busy with projects.
VIT is an excellent college if you are looking for knowledge or decent placements. But if you also want to incorporate fun and enjoyment during your college years, try not to choose it. If technology attracts you on the other hand, you may very well go for it.
Very good infrastructure with necessary equipment to make us enjoy studying in this college. The facilities in classroom include projectors, well library equipped and many sports related activities and much more.
The quality of teaching is good which includes both theoretical and practical based. I am studying b.tech mechanical engineering. The curriculum is based on the current developments on the field and is fun.
I heard that it is good. I also heard that almost 100% of students got placements in different industries and the highest salary is around 41LPA and is a cs student. The average package is around 7LPA
The college has every facility one might need, starting from Nescafe shops to stationaries inside the campus and no overpricing. The classrooms are normal but equipped with projectors( all the classes), the labs are of quiet good build all the systems run on Linux enterprises, the WiFi is fine, at max you'll get 500kbps and it turns off at 12:30am. The rooms are kinda average, it's like more money less space and the mess' dining room is clean.
I am studying Electronics and Communications Engineering which is kinda difficult (for me atleast) even though the teachers try there best to help you with everything they can but still can be a little discriminative for North Indians at times. The curriculum is at its best I would say, they usually have guest lectures daily with people coming from reputed companies/organizations like RedHat etc.
From what I have heard, placements are depressing everywhere. And I felt the same during placements were going on in here, but the good thing is we have something like 100% placement bad hence everyone gets into a job. And the highest salary package was above 90lakhs this time. And the average salary combining all the branches were around 15-20 lakhs.
Well well this is a very problematic question for me, the problem with VIT is that they are gonna impose a fine on anything and everything you do wrong, and it can be pretty expensive as well at times (1k to 6k minimum)
So the campus life in an overall description is average, at times it can be really fun where as at times it can be very depressing. ( not clinical depression) It really gives the vibes of a 9 to 5 job and that really makes it difficult to co-op even though the management tries alot to help the students.
VIT Vellore is a very spacious college with several educational blocks, and accommodation facilities. Hostels are maintained with WiFi and mess. All the classrooms are provided with smart boards for the ease of teaching along with white board. Computer labs are open with the internet facilities for assisting the students and faculties for better learning and teaching. Library is open to all to research and gain better knowledge. Separate physical fitness facilities are made within the campus.
The quality of teaching can be rated as 3.5/5 as it varies from different faculties. Curriculum is updated according to recent developments and makes us well prepared for the job. Scope of improvement is very much prevalent.
As known, there has been around cent percent placement, but it may not be in the core branches as seen.Students those prefer to study further do not sit for placements. For a CS students, they have the maximum opportunity to get placed .
College has a very good infrastructure. They provides all the necessary facilities and equipment. Also, classrooms and libraries are well maintained. There is book shop, Canteen in the campus. Wi-Fi speed is also very fast.
I had completed my Computer science engineering from there. Quality of teaching is very good. Everyone loves the ways of faculty teaching. Also curriculum is well updated and it includes all the recent developments in the field.
Many good companies visited your campus like Google, Cognizant, Wipro. Many students get placed in good companies. Placement process is easy and smooth. College is very much supportive and they also provide intensive placement training.
The cost fee is somewhat higher. But the faculties are good in teaching. Many of them completed their Ph.D.
I have enjoyed the campus life. Many events are organised by the institutes.
Overall I enjoyed my life in campus.
Hello Dear Student,
With a rank of 53,560, you will likely secure CSE Core or CSE with Specializations at VIT Bhopal or VIT Andhra Pradesh under Category 3 or 4 during Phase 3 counseling.
Hope it helps!
Hi,
Yes, in VIT counselling, if your higher preference branches/campuses/categories are not available based on your rank, then the system automatically checks your next preferences in the order you filled during choice filling.
So it is very important to arrange choices carefully from highest to lowest preference because allotment is
