Cutoff mark can not be predicted exactly because it depends upon various factors.
You can go through the below-provided link of Careers360 where you can find predicted cutoff score by various institutes and check previous year cutoff for various NITs.

According, to careers 360 VNIT has AAAA rating which means very good and Manipal has AAAA+ rating which means outstanding.
Ratings are based on Placements, Faculty, Cut-offs of national / state level Entrance exams, Accreditation and Reward status and Publication record from Elsevier’s indexing database - Scopus.
In NIRF, VNIT is in 42 position and Manipal is in 43 position.
Both the institutes are good it totally depends on your choice which college you prefer.

It is not possible to change course from second year of Engineering and directly change to 6th semester via any means.
All you can do is change college on basis of your Class12 scores and MHCET scores, and directly take Admission into First or Second Year of Engineering.
Getting into third year is not permitted by any college.
My suggestion would be stay where you're and focus well on studies and Technical skills, work hard for Placements and get good job.
Post that you can go for Mtech or MbA if you wish to take deep dive into business.

Depends on what branch u want....Check out NIT admissions(Josaa) app on play store to get a rough idea of opening and closing ranks in 2017
You should try to get around 190 marks in JEE Main to get mechanical branch in VNIT Nagpur in general category.
VNIT Nagpur rank for mechanical engineering closes at 9870 in general category.

First, you can prefer NIT trichy and NIT rourkela according to Careers 360 both have AAAA+ ratings which means outstanding. You can choose any NIT between the two in which you are getting higher branch. Both the NITs provide very good placements.

After NIT Trichy and NIT Rourkela you can choose VIT and RV College of engineering. According, to Careers 360 both have AAAA+ ratings which means outstanding. Both have very good placements record.

At last, you can go for NIT Surat and NIT Nagpur both are very good colleges and have AAAA ratings according to Careers 360 which means very Good. Both have good placement record as well.

VNITs Department of Architecture is more than 60 years old and is definitely one of the oldest ones in India whereas the department of Architecture at Jamia Millia Islamia is ranked 7th among all the architecture colleges of our country. So comparatively, Jamia would be better.
Below points you can consider as well -
Faculty - As per the reviews of students, both have got almost the same points but architecture faculty at Jamia is ranked among the top10 institutes of India.
Infrastructure : Both are good but comparatively Jamia is little bit better.
Extra Activities : In this VNITs is better as there are year round fests and student activities going on where you could showcase your talents or expertise some managerial skills too.

College Infrastructure
Infrastructure is good with a vast area of builidings.College has different department for each branch.It has foreign based equiments from england.Faculty is well qualified and deginfied about thieir qualification.

College Infrastructure
Our college infrastructure is pretty good. The wifi's in classroom complex, libraries work just fine. Hostel has LAN ports for LAN connection for laptops and mobiles, which works just fine. Cleanliness is maintained

Our college has good infrastructure We have smartboards in every classroom Wifi is also provided in the classroom conplex, wifi.In hostels we have lan ports. Cleanliness is maintained quite well in all parts of the college.
