The CTR Ludhiana offers diploma courses in Mechatronics engineering and Mechanical engineering (Tool and Die). The eligibility criteria for CTR Ludhiana courses are that candidates should have passed the 10th standard from the recognised board or any other equivalent board with an aggregate of a minimum of 50% marks.

The admission to the three year diploma in Central tool room of Ludhiana is done on the basis of joint entrance test. The joint entrance test is conducted by Punjab State Board of technical Education and industrial training Chandigarh.
