FAMT Ratnagiri Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has separate hostels for boys located in Finolex Housing Colony at Zadgaon, Ratnagiri (about 7 km from campus). Bus transportation, to and from the hostels, is provided to the hostel residents. These hostels accommodate 114 boys. The accommodation in hostels is provided on a first-come-first-served basis. These hostels have: Furnished ventilated and spacious rooms on a twin-sharing basis with a clean and calm environment for studies. Recreational facilities such as TV with dedicated dish connection, newspapers, and magazines (two English, one national local language), indoor games Carrom Chess), and playgrounds for outdoor games (Cricket, Volleyball, Football & Basketball) are available for students.  The medical facility on the premises of the hostel for any medical assistance.  Resident warden along with the college faculty residing in the colony to look after the hostellers.  Security personnel round the clock to guard the entire colony.  Hostel Cafeteria, with a spacious dining hall, serving three vegetarian meals a day. Hostel mess is mandatory for all students staying at the hostel.  The students need to pay separate charges for the mess facility to the caterer.

The college immediately responds to the best of its ability within the available medical resources on campus to a Preliminary/ First Aid treatment in case of a medical emergency. The academy has a Medical Room where a doctor will be available on call and has a tie-up with an ambulance service. The academy provides various facilities for the physically challenged such as ramps, wheelchairs, and washrooms.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The college library is need-based, qualitative, and has an up-to-date collection of books and journals that are cataloged to meet the information needs of students and faculty members. It is also facilitated with reference services, photocopy service, and a Book Bank facility to the students belonging to SC/ST categories. It offers an online information retrieval facility through a 4mbps leased line connection. It provides a computerized catalog search service through OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) and Multimedia Library facility (Ekalavya Self Learning Centre). The library has developed an excellent collection of books, journals, and non-book material in science, engineering, technology, humanities, and management.

The college has always encouraged its young and breeding engineers to participate in Intercollege, the State, national level sports events for the above national events proper financial assistance is provided.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The College Canteen is spacious and has separate provisions for students and faculty. It can accommodate 350 plus students and 85 faculty members at a time. A variety of Indian cuisines is served.
