May not be the biggest but is capable to fulfill basic needs

As mentioned the college is not built on a big area but for the 3 courses (cs,ma,ec) the college contains fully functioning labs and classrooms. The faculty is pretty knowledgeable as they the job requires certain assessment(upsc exams) which only some individuals can get through. The college is on the path of development and certain ongoing discussions and may soon confirm the enlargement of the area of the campus and thus more services. The faculty is very informing as they keep students informed on current soon to happen exams and the procedure to crack them after (of course) the degree. The placement cell is keen on calling different companies to give the student a better opportunity towards their future. The college has different groups that works on many projects to help student develop different qualities and also to help them learn new things.

Faculty of lovely professional university are very good at their work. They know how to teach the students. They conduct the class tests in an unaided way. They are available to the students even after the college timings. They are very co-operative. Placements are important for all the students. These things are mostly understood by the college and nowadays, it is going very well. But its still needs to be improved!

G B Pant Engineering College was established by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi in the year 2007 with the aim of imparting quality technical education for the students of Delhi and nearby areas. Since its inception, the faculty and staff have been tirelessly working towards the growth of the institution. Affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and approved by AICTE, the college started with two batches of students, one each for Mechanical Engineering and Electronics and Communications Engineering courses. Increasing its horizon in the year 2010, a batch of Computer Engineering course was started in the college. With the presence of vibrant and dynamic faculty members of highest academic calibre selected by UPSC, G B Pant has been able to produce three batches of engineering graduates who have been pursuing their careers in companies and higher education institutes in India and abroad. The college has been operating from its building in G B Pant Polytechnic campus which has been transformed to be equipped with ultra-modern facilities. The college has already established various labs for all the branches with up to date modern equipment which ensures that the students are trained in the practical realm according to the current industry standards. The college is in the process of making its own building with state of the art facilities

Bad infrastructure with small building. Active live environment with influential teachers and supportive seniors. In Mechanical and automation there iss good chance to explore automobile while doing projects. Staff and teachers are good appointed by UPSC. Societies for drama, music, automobile, IEEE etc. Sports such as cricket, basketball, badminton, table tennis are available.

This college have some great teachers . Unlike other engineering colleges ,fees is quite low.The laboratories in the college are well equiped. The college lacks in the infrastructure area .Its a very small college with just two acres of land. With no facilities for sports like football ,cricket .Only Basketball court is present . The canteen is worse both in the taste and choices available.Campus Placment is also very bad.

Indispensable Exposure

This college was established not before 2007. So, we are sort of among the first batches of our college. The exposure was great as we had to establish many societies first in it. Students from established colleges know how to manage a team. I learnt how to manage as well as how to build a team. However small it is, but for the same reason it concentrates all it has. You talk about love, guidance, seniors, learning, goodness, etc. anything. For me, this college reminds me of a dialogue by Navjot Singh Sidhu that- "... Pankho se Kuch nhi hota saahab, hauslo se udaan Hoti hai" . This college might be lacking wings to fly high in the sky, but it is full of talent and high spirits. You would be able to find great people around if willing to. Placements are enough for eligible and talented people. Moreover, if you are anyhow planning for higher studies, then I must call it a perfect college for you. You will get ample time to prepare with least expenditure on your graduation (comparatively).

If you wish to study and want a decent crowd for the next four years, the college is perfect blend of the two. Though new, GB Pant Engineering College has a good future and can climb up to the good league of engineering colleges. The management should look into the infrastructure badly.

It's a good college but has a poor infrastructure. Campus is not that good but faculties are very helpful and motivating. It doesn't have any play ground at all. All it have is...a basketball court and an open badminton court. It's labs are quite good. Annual fee is just 35k

Jovial experience

I am having a jovial experience in my college GB pant govt engineering college Okhla. The best part about my college is that though its fees are very low still it provides with intellectual teachers and it is equipped with formidable labs. Well there's a saying for every yin there's a yang , so do my college has some dark sides like its infrastructure are unembellished and sports facilities aren't up to the mark. Well, I intuitively thought that it's an engineering you can't expect societies like drama, music etc but I was wrong our drama and music society are pretty they frequently participate in plays , and music shows etc

I am a 3rd year CSE student and here is my review: this college has good metro and bus connectivity and yeah low fees too (35k per year). Being a Government Engineering college, we always take pride in our academic environment and status. Our college is fully equipped with all the necessary facilities required for a good undergraduate experience. The faculty assigned to us is qualified and experienced enough to teach you the concerned subjects satisfactorily. However, in today's competitive environment, the task to uplift one's skills and abilities lies solely with the self. Hence, you'll have to study on your own properly if you wish to obtain the extra edge. Also being a government institution, it has its own share of problems like an inefficient clerical staff and a not so well developed infrastructure. But being a student, you shouldn't be preoccupied with such considerations. Finally my verdict: If you can overlook the shortcomings, then you won't have anything to worry about. Thank You!

I would like to jot down some important points: Advantages : 1. It's a government College so therefore very cheap compared to other colleges. 2. Easy to get, you need not score a lot of score for this college. Even with 9k rank in ipu - cet would get you this college in spot round(CSE) 3. It's in a good location, not like other colleges (too far from main city and all) 4. There is not much importance given to attendance, so you can stay at home and study yourself. 5. Placement for mech. The stream is good but not good for use, yet. 6. The labs are good and instruments work well. 7. Connected to metro and bus service. (800meters away from college) Disadvantages : 1. Placement not very good, yet (though it is improving every year) 2. No ground. (yes seriously, at the website there's a photo of a big green ground). 3. Canteen not big (not too many varieties to eat) 4. No hotel facilities but PG are easily available nearby.

IPU govt college

My brother is studying in this college and college is really developing at a good pace as it's not been even 10 years since the college has started and the CSE started in 2009(my brother is pursuing CSE ) college is still in its growing period and this year 3rd batch of CSE has passed out so about placement, there couldn't be said anything certain. BUT the good thing is that if have skills then you can get the package to 18LPA(bagged by a student who got placed in Microsoft). This year also some students get placed in a startup getting 12LPA. So if you have skills and talent then there is no problem with lack of time. seniors are very helping and very frank overall a nice college plus the perks of govt. college make it a better college than others IPU colleges.

Great government college under GGSIPU University. Placement is good but doesn't expect much from infrastructure. The environment is good. Many active societies are present in college. Easily reachable, located near Govind puri metro station. You will not find some basic things like wifi, playground, good canteen in the college.

A little better than any good college

1. The college is situated at a very reachable place. All types of transportation are available to reach including Delhi Metro and DTC buses also. 2. The college infrastructure is not that good to boast of but still once you come in the college then you will get used to it in very least time. 3. Since the college is still in its growing period and this year 3rd batch of CSE has passed out so about placement, there couldn't be said anything certain. BUT the good thing is that if have skills then you can get a package to 18LPA(bagged by a student who got placed in Microsoft). This year also some students get placed in a startup getting 12LPA. So if you have skills and talent then there is no problem with lack of time. 4. The best thing about this college is that there is no issue of attendance. 5. From my personal experience till now I can say that if you want to study and have a great time also then you are welcome. 6. By saying "have a great time" I mean with the interaction with the seniors and other students.

GOVT college perks are given to each student also it has negative aspects too Pros: -Low fees -Located in middle of Delhi, good transport availability -You need competitive rank to get into the college, hence, your peers will be good ..better than Amity / Ansal / NIEC and all those colleges - Proximity to IIIT - Delhi ( not sure if it helped in attracting companies ) - You hardly need to buy books, library has 40-50 copies of all the course books Cons (huge list): - Lack of permanent staff - Very few PhDs Teachers, at my time most, were Btech students preparing for GATE - Most teacher will teach you according to "last 10 years paper" - Taking out fund from college is big deal so expect very few events - No research background - No playground or anything. My school was 5 times of its size. Blame it on weak management they could not save our college land to be gifted to IIIT- Delhi. - Teachers will easily fiddle with your marks if you don't fill pages in the exam ( that's GGSIPU btw ) OR you are not in their good books ( This is most important ). Loiter around them and they'll pour marks. I have seen results of other colleges of GGSIPU where they get 23 or so / 25 in internal and 5 -6 / 75 in external. Expect opposite here if you on their radar! - Placement was too bad at our time. I think the low-ranked private colleges, say Amity had better offers than ours ( But we worked our way out and you can check their profiles on LinkedIn ). It DID NOT get any better but declined ( inputs from junior ) and the management didn't give rat's a$$ about it. - You might feel inferior to IIIT-D here. In the same span, they are now competing with NSIT and all but we are still "new college" - No hostel it would be better in next few years.

College life was pretty good. Made some great friends and did some great adventures together. But my college was nowhere helpful in anything productive ever. Anything you want to do, Do your own including studies. This was the motto in our college. Placements sorry Placement was as expected dreadful and only one company came and selected the bunch of students.

The college is built in an area of two acres which is tiny in comparison to other colleges. In terms of college life there's not much to look forward to. The teachers are decent. Not too strict. Attendance doesn't matter so that's a plus. The people are from modest backgrounds and good natured. If you have a plan for your future and need a lot of free time, this college is a good choice. Placements are average. Usually the majority of students move on to higher studies. There's not much in terms of exposure. The students take initiative and try their best to get as much exposure as they can. The administration is more or less helpful. What the faculty lacks in technical expertise they make up with their helpful nature. There's no hostel accommodation yet, there might be a new campus built in the future. All in all Gb pant is an average college. The people are very friendly. So even though there aren't many places around the college to enjoy, you will still find amazing friends.
