    3.6

    Academics

Am Pursuing BBA right now and it seemed pretty good so far since the first semester was of Liberal Education due to NEW EDUCATION POLCY due to that we really had a great time exploring different branches and now its pretty good

    College Infra

At first glimpse the college has a decent infrastructure Average to above average structure compared to some blocks some are well maintained and some are not but in overall way all are at least to least usable for productive learning

    Campus Life

Oh campus life, GITAM is known for these stuff cuz there's a talk in local Vizag that "Gitamites fests are like international concerts" (Not for outsiders but the local vizagites feel it) Yeah but seriously talking campus life is very colourful with Constant Fests , Club Activities a, Sports and many more

    Placements

I personally have no idea about placements since we didnt get a taste of it and also when we joined the college they did show a lot of placements but after joining pretty much all the seniors were not really satisfied with it so yeah no idea but this is it

    Value For Money

I really have a neutral opinion on this cuz the fee structures are not really high compared to other universities but a the same time the teaching and technology used with those infrastructures seems reasonable , Also the fee will be reduced sometimes with the scholarship so it seems fine for me

    BBA - Batch of 2026-01-01

    Academics

I’m currently in my third year of BBA. The curriculum covers marketing, finance, HR, and even entrepreneurship. A few subjects can feel textbook-heavy, but we do get group projects, presentations, and some case studies which make it more interesting. A couple of professors are really good at making sessions interactive.

    College Infra

The campus has a chill vibe. Classrooms are well-maintained and most of them have projectors, which is helpful for presentations. The library is one of my favorite spots—quiet, with access to both physical books and e-resources. Wi-Fi works decently in most areas. We have sports grounds and a few hangout spots too, so it doesn’t feel boring.

    Campus Life

Campus life is pretty active. There are fests, club activities, guest lectures, and cultural events happening regularly. I joined a couple of student clubs, and that helped me build confidence and meet new people. Makes college feel less stressful and more memorable.

    Placements

Placement scene for BBA is decent if you’re actively involved in events, internships, and skill-building. Roles are mostly in sales, HR, and marketing. Some of my seniors got placed in companies like Deloitte and ICICI. The college offers training for aptitude and interviews in the final year, which helps.

    Value For Money

For a business program, I’d say it’s worth it if you use the opportunities well. Fees are moderate compared to some other private colleges. If you engage with clubs, events, internships, and workshops, you’ll feel the value.

    4.2

    Academics

I’m in my final year of BBA, and the course structure covers a good mix of theory and practical learning. Subjects like marketing, HR, and entrepreneurship are taught well. Some classes are interactive, and we get to do presentations and case studies too. A few professors are really supportive and help beyond the classroom. You just need to show interest.

    College Infra

The campus is pretty neat. Classrooms have projectors and decent seating, and most labs are up to date, especially for tech-related courses. The library is quiet and has what you need, both physically and online. Hostels are clean and manageable, though not super luxurious. There’s Wi-Fi almost everywhere, and the sports grounds are nice too.

    Campus Life

Campus life is easily one of the best parts of GITAM. There are so many clubs, fests, and cultural events going on all the time. I’ve been actively involved in Kalakriti and Faces, and it’s honestly made my college experience so much better. You get to meet people with similar interests, build confidence, and just have fun. Also, the beach being nearby adds to the vibe!

    Placements

Placements are pretty good if you’re consistent. Companies like Deloitte, HDFC, and other corporate firms visit the campus. Most of us get placed by the final year, especially if we’ve done internships and stayed active in events. The college also provides placement training, mock interviews, and personality development sessions.

    Value For Money

The fee feels slightly high, but considering the exposure, facilities, and placement support, it’s reasonable. If you participate in activities and use the opportunities well, it’s definitely worth it. Plus, there are scholarships if you perform well academically.

On Question asked by student community
Have questions related to GITAM School of Business, Visakhapatnam?
Gim goa BFSI vs SIOM nashik operation vs imi bhubaneswar-pgdm

    Hii,

If banking, finance, and insurance are of interest to you, pick GIM Goa (BFSI); it has a strong brand and excellent industry connections.
If you enjoy managing factories, supply chains, or logistics, SIOM Nashik (Operations) is the best option. It's a specialized field with excellent operations.
Overall, IMI Bhubaneswar (PGDM) is respectable, but not as good as SIOM or GIM.

GIM Goa (BFSI) is the best choice overall because of its superior brand, placements, and potential for expansion.
SIOM Nashik is the best for operations only.

Is it worthy to study MBA Finance from NIA PUNE or NIBM PUNE rather than from GLIM Chennai or GIM Goa.

    Hello,

Studying MBA Finance from NIA Pune or NIBM Pune can be valuable if you aim to specialize in insurance, banking, or financial services. These institutes focus on niche domains, offering strong industry connections, sector-specific curriculum, and placement opportunities in reputed organizations within their respective fields. However, if you're looking for broader career prospects and better brand recognition, GLIM Chennai or GIM Goa may be better choices. Both are well-regarded for their comprehensive programs, diverse peer groups, and strong placement records across various sectors.

Hello friends, 10- 85 12- 93.8 B.com(2021)- 83 Work experience - 14 months CAT raw score - 55, VARC-0, LRDI-26, QA-29 What calls can I expect and I am targeting for GIM, GLIM Chennai, IMT Ghaziabad, IMI Delhi. Any other calls can I expect and Is there any chance of getting IIM SAP call? Please guide

    Hello Varun,

Based on your CAT raw score and profile, here's a breakdown of your potential calls and your chances for different institutes:

    1. GIM Goa, GLIM Chennai, IMT Ghaziabad, IMI Delhi:

    • GIM Goa : With a score of 55, GIM typically looks for candidates with a higher percentile. However, you may still get a call if your overall profile, including your academic background (93.8% in Class 12, work experience), is strong.

    • GLIM Chennai : GLIM has a competitive cutoff, but with a solid academic record and work experience, there may be a chance, especially if you belong to a diverse background.

    • IMT Ghaziabad : Your chances with a score of 55 are slim, as IMT usually looks for a higher percentile. However, if you have an impressive profile and high academic scores, there may still be a slim possibility.

    • IMI Delhi : Similar to IMT, IMI Delhi has high cutoffs and competitive selection criteria. However, work experience and other factors like diversity can sometimes offset a lower CAT score.

      2. IIM SAP (Special Admission Program) :

    • The IIM SAP is typically for candidates with significant work experience or other unique factors. Your 14 months of work experience could be beneficial, but your CAT score of 55 is on the lower side, making it unlikely to receive an IIM SAP call. However, if you have other outstanding features in your profile (e.g., exceptional academic performance, leadership qualities, etc.), you might still stand a chance.

      3. Other Possible Calls :

    • UPES Dehradun : Known for considering work experience and unique profiles, UPES could be a potential option for you.

    • Bimtech Noida : You could expect a call here, considering your work experience and overall profile.

    • XIMB Bhubaneswar : This institute also considers profiles with good work experience, and you may stand a chance despite your score.

Overall, you can expect a call from institutes that weigh work experience and academic performance heavily, but you should also be prepared for lower-tier institutes in terms of CAT score cutoffs. Ensure you target institutes that match your profile for better chances.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.
