Courses offered for GCE Kannur admissions are B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering, B.Tech Chemical Engineering, B.Tech Civil Engineering, B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering, B.Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering and B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, M.Tech Advanced Manufacturing and Mechanical Systems Design, M.Tech Computer Aided Structural Engineering, M.Tech Energy Engineering, M.Tech Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering, etc. B.Tech aspirants need to appear for KEAM- Kerala Engineering, Architecture and Medical Entrance Exam followed by counselling. It is a state-level examination conducted by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala. GCE Kannur PG admissions (M.Tech) are offered based on the marks obtained by students in GATE followed by counselling. Candidates aspiring for GCE Kannur PG admissions must fill the Kerala M.Tech application form in an online mode, students need to send the printout to authorities along with the other required documents. Students must meet the KEAM cutoff to qualify for KEAM.
Participate in counselling. Candidates must choose GCE Kannur as their preferred college for admissions.
After the counselling, CEE Kerala conducts the seat allotment process or KEAM through Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) which is a Single Windowed System.
Candidates must visit the allotted institute for document verification and pay the admission fee.

Academics are good enough . There is no spoon feeding process here. But college provide all necessary support for learning. Leactures are good but it depends on teachi g faculty some are boaring while other are excellent .

Cutoff list for masters' degree stream wise is not given. You have to wait untill counselling period. The rank list will be released. Universities have their own exam and GATE score is also accepted for MTECH admission.
For year 2018, GATE cutoff was 300 for general and OBC category for structural engineering.

You have a decent rank but i suppose what you have mentioned is your category rank which could be a bit too high for GCE Katihar. To be honest the trend change every year so may expect a seat for yourself but you might have to compromise with the branch. You might not be able to fetch yourself the top branches.
