Government Engineering College Patan has a training and placement cell that conducts the placement drive on the campus. GEC Patan placement cell is in charge of all aspects of campus recruitment at the institute, as well as enhancing students' skills to meet industry demands through a variety of seminars and workshops, including KCG's Finishing School (GoG) Programmes.

GEC Patan placement cell assists in improving the employability of the students by organising special training with the help of experts from industries. Through the placement cell, Government Engineering College Patan makes students constantly aware of the changing trends and demands of the industry so as to equip them with the highest level of potential for cracking the tough selection procedures.

GEC Patan Placement Procedure 2024

Companies are invited to the campus through email or phone.
Then HR will reach out to the college management or placement officer through the website.
The job proposal is created for the students through the placement cell.
Then the list of students will be sent to the HR department by the placement officer.
Interviews may be conducted in an online or offline mode.
Then the documents of the students are submitted to the placement cell.
The selected students will be given an offer letter on campus, including a salary package.

Placement opportunities very good most of campiness from the Ahmedabad. Software developer and web developer position very high recommended as well some campiness for the non-technical field like BDA, Project manager. Average salary is 3.5 LPA to 4.5 LPA , and maximum 6 LPA from the on campus placement.

Only the Placement shell of computer department is working good than other departments , actually honestly the placement shell of other departments are in worst condition working deadly.One of the major facilities for computer department is its placement shell working hardly.

if you want to become an engineer then I would suggest you to look for courses like:
B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in Cloud Computing & Virtualization Technology in academic collaboration with IBM,
B. Tech (Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in Oil & Gas Informatics),
B.Tech Computer Science & Engineering with specialization In Open Source & Open Standards (in association with IBM),
B.Tech Computer Science Engineering with specialisation in Business Analytics (IBM).
The plus point is that these courses are in collaboration with IBM
If you are interested in any of them, then you can apply for admission in UTM-Shillong.
