Bachelor of Technology in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering is four years full time course. Approved by AICTE and affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, Kolkata.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/Technical Vocational subject, having a valid rank in WBJEE/JEE (Mains). 
  • Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
  • Lateral Entry- Passed Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology, having a valid rank in WBJELET.
  • Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject.
  • Provided that the students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall clear the subjects' Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the First-Year Engineering Programme along with the second year subjects.
  • Provided that the students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma stream.

Admission Details

Valid score/Rank in WBJEE / JEE Main of the current year; For Decentralized Monitored Counseling (against drop out vacancy) conditions remain same except Entrance Rank which is not mandatory (preference will be given to Rank holders).

Haldia Institute of Technology, Haldia

College Infrastructure

HIT, Haldia has one of the best infrastructure in WB. It has wonderful laboratories. There's a huge library and the food served is great. Hostels are also very good. There are 8 hostel for boys and 4 hostel for girls. The rooms of hostels are superb. there's only one problem 3 or more than 3 students are kept in a single room. apart from this everything here is so good.

All labs are well equipped with proper maintenance and proper guidlines and the each lab has a lab assistant responsible for conducting the practicals in a proper manner . Labs are highly technically equipped.
