Reliable MTech ECE college.

M.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2018-01-01
Academics
Academics in MTech ECE decent, faculty mostly PhDs teach VLSI and comm systems well. Curriculum from MAKAUT, includes projects and seminars on wireless tech. Classes use projectors, but some topics outdated.
Attendance strict, exams fair but practicals tough. Guides help with thesis if you ask. Not top like IIT but good for basics, NBA accredited. Average experience overall.
College Infra
Infrastructure at HIT Haldia is okay for MTech ECE. Labs got equipment for signal processing and circuits, but some old machines need update.
Library big with journals, WiFi works in most places. Hostels separate for boys girls, clean but rooms small, mess food average spicy.
Campus 37 acres green, sports ground for football, but no AC in classrooms, hot in summer. Helps labs but could be better.
Campus Life
Campus life balanced at HIT, green 37 acres with fests like Utkarsh tech and cultural events. Clubs for ECE seminars, sports cricket gym active. Crowd mix local outside, friends easy in hostels. Canteen cheap meals, but Haldia quiet town, weekends boring. Seniors helpful, no ragging. Studies heavy but fun events. Heat tough, enjoyed the chill vibe.
Placements
Placements for MTech ECE moderate, about 70 percent get jobs if good projects.
Median package 4.75 LPA in 2023, highest around 10 LPA from Infosys, Wipro. Companies like TCS, Accenture come for software roles, core less. Recession hit 2024, less drives.
Training helps interviews, but network off campus. Placement cell tries, better for IT than core. Depends on skills.
Value For Money
Fees about 1.9 lakh total for two years, low for private college. Gets labs, library and hostels cheap at 2k monthly. Placements okay so ROI fair if placed, else go for PhD.
Compared to others, good deal in Haldia industrial area. No stipend but affordable living. Worth it for budget, but work hard for jobs. Decent bang for buck.

My Department consists good infrastructure and facilities. Spacious classrooms, modern labs, and a well-stocked central library provide a strong learning environment. The hostels are comfortable and safe, with 24/7 security and decent food. The college also has Wi-Fi across the campus, playgrounds for outdoor games, and halls for cultural programs. Regular maintenance ensures cleanliness in classrooms, hostels, and common areas. The campus is filled with greenery, providing a fresh and pleasant atmosphere for students

College have best placements. Placement performance is good and improving every year. IT companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, and IBM visit regularly, offering jobs to a large number of students. What I am Choose Narula Institute of Technology or Haldia Institute of Technology for B.Tech CSE (main) ?
