Good staff, ample of opportunities, 75% attendance implies you to attend compulsorily, industrial training (incase of instrumentation branch), seminars, only one class of 70 students. Negatives - Placement scenario needs immediate attention for improvement. Canteen has poor seating arrangements, food is average
The course curriculum is well designed by the experienced faculties teaching Computer Engineering under Mumbai University. Recently, their has been changes in the curriculum so as to meet industrial needs. There are 2 unit tests of 20 marks each carried out, one is after 30-40% syllabus gets covered, the next is during term end. Final semester exams of 80 marks take place after practical and oral exams. Faculty is good.
Placements for computer science, information technology, and EXTC students are very good at this college. For mechanical students, placements and job opportunities are very less. The highest salary package offered is 7.5 LPA for the year 2019-2020. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA for the year 2019-2020. L&T, TCS, Tata Power, are the top recruiting companies.
Fees are expensive (Around 100,000 - 110,000). This is for open category students. For reserved category students, fees are deduced to almost half of the normal fees (50,000 - 60,000 for OBC, 10,000 - 20,000 for SC,ST). You have to confirm the fees structure with college.
Events happen over the year, most of them are during even semesters (January - March). Seminars are happening at small and large numbers. Zodiac and Technical events are the highlights of this college. You have to be in good books of the staff so that they could inform you about any competitions, projects, internships and jobs.
All basic facilities are available in college. College infrastructure is overall good. Spacious classrooms with projectors wherever necessary, labs, xerox & stationary centre ,Wi-Fi in library is also available. Canteen provides good food.
I'm currently pursuing 2nd year of Mechanical Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi College. Teaching quality is good. Teachers are having good experience. Industry visits , Internships are provided by college for practical understanding.
Quality of placement is average. IT companies like Infosys came during campus placement. IT and Comps students are getting placed well as compared to other departments. Placement Cell is there in the college which provides information about Job apportunities , internships to all students.
The cost of course is around Rs.96,500 per year for open category students. This cost differs according to the categories. Also different scholarships are also available. Cost is quite high for open category students but one can apply for TFWS scheme also.
College don't have a big campus which one must have thought of. The campus is so small. During the annual fest different contests, games happens in the campus only. Location is good. Versova beach is so nearby to college. Also Versova meuro station, Juhu Beach and Infinity mall is also nearby.
Overall my 2 years experience is good. Teachers are helpful too. They used to clear my doubts. So many extra curricular activities happens in college almost on daily basis. Most importantly no ragging is there in college. All seniors are also so supportive.
Our college is well maintained but sometimes there is no proper water supply in washrooms. Its is near the versova beach so we have ample of fresh air and the environment is good. The canteen is good. There is no wifi in college.
I am in 3rd year EXTC Dept. The teachers are friendly and help everyone. Sometimes ques.banks are given for ut exams. The college do help us in developing our personality in every way. A lot of projects are been given to 2nd and 3rd year students.
The placements are not that good. The average placement last year was 3.5 lakh. The maximum package was bagged by 3 computer engg students which was 8-8.5 lakh per annum. The placement cell supports the students.
The fees is 99k for any course each year. While its is 13-15k for sbc students. 50k for obc students. The money is worth according to the facilities provided by the college.
We have a lot of committees and students from all dept are a part of all committees. Its fun to be in. We get to learn many new things and even seniors are supportive. There is no such thing as ragging over here.
Our college is pretty good in infrastructure. Though there are many lack of facilities suck as air conditioning in labs is not properly maintained. Classrooms are wide with cool breeze in winters. Library is the best place for smart kids. You can have a great time there without anyone disturbing you.
Course curriculum is pretty good regarding comp. engineering. Exam structure is usually divided into 8 semesters in which in each semester you will need to study and take care orelse you would end up with a KT instead. Teaching is too good and upto mark.
Placement Wing 6/10 Placement and jobs are decent which is common in all colleges. Yes our college provide internship opportunities in some of the renowned companies and they also help us to build our profile and help us in our future career. This year the highest pakage was 8.5 lakh of Comps dept.
Fee Structure And Facilities Fee structure is less for caste students as it is the case in all other colleges. It's not too expensive but not until the Mark. Its 99k per year for bachelors in any field.
Extracurricular activities such as sports, workshops, profile build up, Ted talks, technical workshops, language classes, gate classes, entrance exam classes and also some of the best musical and movies making tutorials are held under proffesional guidance. A lot of committees are formed which are fun to get involved with.
There are many positive and also negative marks. Speaking of positive marks. College have good faculty and decent placement and also has some good classes. Negative point is that it don't have good facilities like filtered water at all times.
Dear aspirant,
I would recommend you to take up computer science and engineering because electronics and telecommunication should be opted only if you have interest in electronics otherwise not.
Ece branch is really a tough one to deal it rather than computer science. You can take cse in a bit
Hi,
I hope you are doing well.
Almost 85% of students from the computer science branch from this college get placed during the placement cell.
The highest package offered to a student in the recent batch was around 8-9’lakhs per annum & on average students from computer science branch get
