• Candidates have to appear for the Visvesvaraya Technological University Eligibility Test (VTU-ETR) conducted by the university.

• Candidates who have qualified for any national-level entrance examinations are exempted from the university entrance test.

• Eligible candidates have to appear for a personal interview in front of the admission committee at VTU.

• The admission committee prepares the merit list based on the entrance score and performance in the interview.

Note : 45% of the seats are filled by the Government of Karnataka through KCET, 30% of the seats are filled through the entrance test conducted by the COMEDK and 25% of the seats are filled through the management quota.
